I have a 60 pound, 9 month old Golden Retriever, and it was to the point where I couldn’t take him on walks anymore because he would pull me so much, to the point where he would gag. The first time I put this on him, it was like walking a different dog! The moment it tightens a bit, he completely stops pulling. It doesn’t seem to hurt him at all, I think it more just reminds him not to get overly excited. I really like that it self-adjusts, so the prongs aren’t digging into his neck all the time, just when he starts to pull. It works so well, even my 5 year old daughter can walk him now. I couldn’t be happier with this product.

I have GS and she was pulling a lot when saw other animals on walks. So I got this collar and it's been a game changer. Just a little tug on it and she corrects herself right away. She loves it also. As soon as I pick it up she gets all excited and knows that we are going for a walk. I like how it comes with rubber covers for the prongs to ensure no harm made on the neck. I don't use the covers because I have the collar very loose on my dog. I like the adjustable chain and extra links for the prongs. This collar is really good for the price and the quality. It is very easy to remove and put on. It is very loud when picking it up. And if it's loosy put on the dog and the dog shakes their head it is very loud. But overall it's really good for the training.

I have a 4 month old Dóberman that used to pull when taking him out for walks. I was not sure if this was going to be a good investment but the collar quality and performance surprised me completely. Within the first 5 minutes of the walk my puppy was not pulling and he was walking next to me. This is a great investment and great way to train your dog. Within 1 hour my puppy was able to sit on the side walk of the street without being next to him as he is starting to obey commands. Would definitely recommend this collar if you are looking to train your dog.

5 month update.... One of end tabs broke today!!! This is a huge issue it broke on the end link that there no extras. My pup is now nearly 8 months a 95 lbs. Without a pinch collar I can't control her when there is another dog or distraction. If she gets too excited she will pull me down. Apparently I will be replacing this. But I am absolutely not happy about that. First let me say that I don’t like pinch collars as I don’t like hurting my pup. However I am now 64 years old. So it’s much harder to train my St. Bernard puppy. She has the strength to pull me down to the ground. With my previous saints I was strong enough to handle them. About the collar itself I love snap latch connector. Much easier than my old roommate who had one that you actually had to use the connector. This is much easier and faster. My puppy doesn’t have the patience for the old style. This one she will actually sit still for the 30 seconds or so to put it on. She knows that this means she’s going outside. I’m not impressed with the chrome plating as it is already wearing off in many places. To get this to fit you have to take out or add links. Which is not an easy task. You will need a sturdy set of pliers (2). And some good arm strength. I did it, but it was very difficult. I’m hoping to have a son or grandson help as my puppy grows and I need to add links back in.

Effective. I have a puppy and it works fine. Links seems strong and with my puppy don’t seem they will break. I would buy again if needed. Came with extra links but i actually removed four links. So I can use this until my dog gets adult size for sure.

My pooch is a german shepherd mix & stubborn as heck (trainers words not mine). So this collar allows me to handle my dog with ease. It might look medievil but its really not & I wouldnt be able to walk my furbaby without it. I love that it comes with little rubber tips to cover the tips of the prongs so they dont hurt the dogs neck. Its a little bigger/heavier than anticipated but thats my bad for not reading the description properly & getting the sizing wrong. Its nice & sturdy so I dont have to worry about it breaking when holding my dog back from other dogs or traffic. Literally cant walk my dog without it. Highly recommend it!
