I like that it has no leaks after I connected it between a faucet and a hose. I like the low pressure for watering delicate plants on my deck. I like that it can be removed if need be. It's solid brass, so it should last for many years.

This seems like a great quality item and I was excited about replacing my old plastic reducers. But when I put it in place, I had WAY less pressure than I did with the plastic reducer and couldn't water properly. I have a pretty large watering system and have to turn different segments on/off in a sort of rotation, but using this reducer greatly limited my watering capability compared to the old plastic regulator. I have a pressure gauge, but have not done any checking with it to compare. Perhaps my old plastic reducer reduces the pressure with less effect on volume? Or maybe the plastic one doesn't reduce pressure as much as it should (I have at least two in place that seem to perform equally). I think this is a good product and hopefully I can use it somewhere in a future "revision" of my watering setup, but if you have a large low-pressure irrigation system, you may have the same problem I did! ... show more

I own Tecopa Palms Therapeutic Hot Springs Resort in Tecopa California. I have 11 almost new ( 2 to 4 years old) RV's that we rent out for overnight lodging. They range from 18' to 42'. I installed these water pressure reducers in an attempt to lower the pressure in the RV piping systems. WOW. Once installed, water would not flow in any of the 11 RV's. I concluded it was because there was not enough "outgoing" water pressure to by pass the built in check valves in the RV water system. I took one off at a time, reattached the water hose from the RV park, to the RV. Each and everyone of the 11 worked great. Waste of money for me. ... show more

I got this Pronese water pressure reducer to reduce the water pressure in my soaker hose. These pressure reducers are essential to assure that the soaker hoses and drip irrigation systems function correctly. It was very easy to attach to the hose. I like that it is made of lead-free brass, and it is drinking water safe. It came with two silicone washers and tape. The tape was not needed, since there were no leaks.
