We ordered three of these for our condo because we want all our fixtures to be brushed nickel. These are relatively inexpensive and do their intended job well. They were quite easy to put up. The first one took 45 minutes, but the third one took less than ten minutes.

I needed to replace all the 30 yr old light fixtures in my house and though I updated the look of all the others, I just wanted to swap this one for the brass ring one I had. I was going brushed nickel on everything, and was delighted to find this basic fixture at such a reasonable price. It is in a small hallway, not very visible, and I felt it wasn't worth it to try to be especially trendy there. Bought four for remodeling project. My contractor after hanging one said I was replacing a well made light with one with metal rim so thin you must be very careful not to bend out of shape while installing. I kept the one installed and returned the rest. For the first I had a return fee charged for a prime item. This will my me rethink my renewal of Prime. ... show more

This is a simple "mushroom" light. I chose this over less expensive ones because the picture doesn't show any screws holding the globe on. I have brass lights in my house just like that, where the globe stays on with clips inside it. In this case the picture is not accurate. There are actually three screws around the base of the light that hold the globe in place. Those three screws ruin the sleek line of the base, and make it more difficult to change a light bulb than the version I have with the clips. Unfortunately, due to the inaccurate picture, I may be returning these for something without the screws. However, if you don't mind the screws sticking out of the base ring then this is a perfectly fine low end light fixture. ... show more
