We have had this almost 2 years, and it has been a tremendous blessing. It has helped our sanity and our cats!! We haven't had any issues thankfully, and the back up battery is very helpful! I would definitely consider giving this feeder a try!

- Love being able to set up the meal time to the exact minute - Even without Wi-Fi, it pours out the food (if it was already set up in the "Feed Plan", or if you press the button). I believe the meal just doesn't go in the "Feed Record". - From the app, you can choose the portion and feed right at that moment (outside the "Food Plan"). - Uses Tuya app (don't know if you can use another one) - I use the app for a robot vacuum as well and I didn't have problems connecting either one - Can put batteries in as backup. - The metal plate is put in a way that is very easy to just remove and wash. - The top clicks on. To take it off, you have to press buttons on both sides. I mention this because some cats are...handy getting into things. - Speaking of handy... My cat pushes the dispenser making it lift from one side, so when it falls, little bits of food come out. If your cat happens to do that, don't worry, what comes out are bits that didn't make it the whole way out. - Just in case, not ant proof... - I use the dispenser in combination with a camera with motion sensor, which is great because I can be sure that everything's ok. *Tip, I would test all the portions first, to make a good feeding plan. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start off with what I like. this is a nice pet feeder, you can set it to deliver food multiple times a day, and set the amount of food at each serving. they even have a cute gimmick where you can record your voice calling your pets for supper. It's actually a pretty good recording. We used it when we went away for a few days and it dispensed food to our furry friends. I like that it has AC power, but also has 3 D-cell batteries for backup in case power goes out. My biggest complaint (And the reason I knocked off one star.) is that the first one we got would not dispense food, it would make the motions, but eventually, jam up and give me an error code (That is not in the manual). I contacted the seller, and they were quick to respond, and after a short troubleshooting session, they replaced the unit. the seconds one has been working great. ... show more

My cat wouldn't let me sleep throughout the night because he wanted to be fed at 3 and 5am. Bought this and it was super easy to hook up and use. I can control everything from my phone which is a life saver. I did the math and 4 portions = 1/4 cup. The one and only con is that the food tray. The food attaches to it really quick and easy and can be hard to clean. But if you clean it often it's not to be bad. Even with this 1 con I would still buy again and again. I’d give a 0 if i could… We downloaded the app, it says it was paired with my phone, but then will not set up and says “not loaded” even after it says it is connected. We rebooted everything and even closed and re-opened the app. It will not connect. Also, the pictures that are shown on site are different than the pic that was there when I ordered it, so I’m not sure if the feeder was updated after I bought this one? But the main reason I got it was the potential ability to use my phone to set up and control remotely. And with this model, there doesn’t even appear to be a way to set up feeding times or portions without the app, so it’s useless. Very disappointed. I don’t usually write reviews but since all the good reviews encouraged me to buy it, I thought I should share my experience. ... show more

    • Worked until it didn't
Writing this after it died and have replacements for it. Cats are smart. They can and will get into this. It lasted over a year. The dispensers gears are what did it in. The latches are cat friendly, and they will not keep them out. It had a 15lb weight placed on top to keep out. It worked well until it didn't. It is a large feeder and will hold about a weeks worth if protioned properly for 2-3 cats. The diverter was an issue for our cats and would repetitively get removed by said cats. Love the automatic feeder. Keeps our cat from trying to act like one of forgot to feed him (very dramatic and very believable). He has now grown accustomed to the feeder and it has helped him maintain a more healthy weight. He was NOT happy when we first got it he was confused and very vocal and if your cat is the same way do not negotiate with the enemy and stand your ground because it is so worth it. ... show more

My cat loves the timer and is used to the regular feeding schedule which is great. it helps me control her eating habits better. I like that its bluetooth capable the only thing i gave a lower rating on is portion sizing...i had to measure out how many ounces of food equalled one portion that the feeder gives out which makes sense because different kibbles are different sizes. it took six portions to be half a days worth of my cats food but she loves it and it works! ... show more
