When you pick it up there is a burr on the inside edge of the butt cap. The first thing you notice is that area feels bad in your hand. It feels rough. I'll have to take some sandpaper and finish it myself. Poor quality control. I was so impressed with their French knife I bought this, but it's not as good of quality. Quality parts are used but it shouldn't have such a noticeable burr on the handle. I'd rather have an ugly blemish on the blade than a handle that I don't like to grab. It's surprising they spent so much time on the box and sheath and yet never actually finished sanding the handle.

This is a nice looking knife with an attractive design laser etched onto the blade, and a nicely figured pakkawood handle. I like that it comes with a knife sharpener, and with a nice solid sheath for storage. The knife also comes in a very nice presentation box, making it giftable. This knife is somewhat front heavy, rather than perfectly balance, which I don't mind with a larger knife blade as I feel it assists with cutting. The blade is not as sharp as I expected, and didn't pass the "arm hair" test, cutting no arm hair. Where the metal butt of the knife meets the wood isn't finished as smoothly as it could be. The transition from metal to the wood is a bit rough, as can be seen in my photo. This knife is a decent knife, but there is room for a few improvements.
