The media could not be loaded. I know, I know. These aren’t intentionally designed to be cutting up freeze dried dog treats, but lo and behold, they work great for that purpose. I usually buy bulk orders of freeze dried liver cubes for my dog and I began to notice that the cubes inside were just getting… bigger. This is probably due to some sort of effort to lower costs, but I digress. These clearly weren’t made to be cutting hardened materials, but they cleanly cut through these freeze dried treats where my sharpened, expensive knives struggled to efficiently perform. These pruners also trim up the house plants effortlessly, so there’s that. For the price, I think this purchase was certainly worthwhile. Will they last forever? Maybe. I worry about the handles that seem to be made from nylon reinforced by an inexpensive metallic alloy, but as long as I don’t use these to cut ironwood branches, they should hold up just fine. ... show more

The benefit of stainless clippers is that they can be left out by the garden for quick access without need to worry about rust. The pivot is steel. Too bad they didn't complete the job.

I don't know how good this is going to perform. It's very lightweight and it doesn't look like it's going to do some of the harder cuts of the woody shrubs. I bought it because it was the only stainless steel one and I was tired of the others always rusting. I'll let you know.
