I just received the wheelchair yesterday. It is well made and very easy to assemble. The brake adjustments were tricky for me but my husband was able to get them just right. This is a very confortable chair and I like that I can take the foot rests off so that in my house I can propel myself with my feet. I was using a desk chair and found that was not safe. This wheelchair is very safe. I can lock the brakes easily, when I want to stand or transfer. The fact that it is lightweight is awesome. I can pick it up and put it in the trunk myself. So far very happy and I believe I will enjoy this chair for a long time. ... show more

    • Transport Chair to the Rescue
This transport chair was ordered to help alleviate the problem of getting through the doors of our house. My husband does have a wheelchair which is great for larger areas but the wheelchair is too wide to fit through our doors. This transport chair is easy to maneuver, fold and is lightweight. Since my husband is a large man, he does just fit snugly in this chair but when he's having a bad day and having problems getting around, this transport chair is a god send. ... show more

This chair is perfect, it’s lightweight enough that I can easily store in trunk. It’s compact and not bulky like most wheelchairs. Well made and extremely easy to fold up, I was amazed at how easy it was to fold open or close, and that the leg extensions were easy to add as well. Very pleased with purchase, even my mom who is the person I bought it for, likes it. This will make taking her to the doctor so much easier. And with Covid right now , I know that I won’t need to worry about disinfecting a hospital wheelchair that’s been touched by many. It reassures me that I am protecting my mom by having her own chair available for use. Takes work well, seat is a lightly padded, which is good and you can hang a carryall bag to the back for all needed necessities as well as personalize it.It’s perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Purchased this chair to be used by a plus sized person while on a vacation that required a lot of walking. The chair arrived in perfect condition and was easy to assemble. Instructions and tool enclosed but we did not have to make any adjustments to chair or brakes. The handles are a bit hard to lower but a good thing since they should be locked while pushing. The reasons I do not give this five stars are (1) the seat should be wider for a larger person, (2) even with the lowest foot rest position it was more comfortable with a chair cushion to give more seat height for more leg comfort and (3) the front wheels should be larger as well to prevent catching in cracks and not necessitate turning chair around to go over them. There are foot pads on lower back to step on and lift the front of the chair but not practical with a large person. Otherwise, very happy with quality of the chair and the combination of handle grip brakes and wheel push brake locks is a great feature. Easy on and off locking/folding foot rests and easy compact fold also good as well as heel straps on foot rests We saw other chairs in use while away and can honestly say we thought ours had the best features, especially for the amount is cost. Highly recommend this if the minor issues above are not of concern. ... show more

It is east to maneuver. However because of the wheel design width it is too difficult to get through 24 inch doorway. ( Prior stainless steel model with all wheels small would do that). It is a trade off because the wheel design is much improved. The wheel composition may well be rubber but it appears to function like urethane, not clinging quite as well to a basic portable ramp. . User is 5’ 10” and 175 lb. Per his preference, an added 3 inch cushion makes for easier sit to stand. The plan is for user to engage locks prior to transfers. If mot, it is important for the person pushing to carefully engage the upper hand brake to the LAST setting for safe transfers. Easily folded and I use back seat of larger sedan; (raising up to place in trunk might cause back stress; I’m 5’ 3”). We read about other manufacturers products and would still purchase this one again. ... show more
