To be clear, these already work well as they are, but two feature changes would make these much better in my opinion. 1) For the white model, the black thread should also be white. This would make the thread blend in with the ceiling paint more, and make the devices less of an eye-draw when not in use. Similarly, it'd be nice to have the rubber of the holder nub and the cable strap also match the color schema of the model (white or black). 2) The design of the cable strap should be modified to make it easier for one-handed operation (opening or closing the clasp). Oftentimes when I'm moving the cable, I still have at least one Index controller strapped to my hand. These changes would make a 'good' product in to a 'must-have' product, in my opinion. ... show more

This hinges are good. My concern was that it was going to make my place look out of place having the hinges there but its not too bad. I only needed 3 hinges installed in my ceiling. I have a 20ft VR cable, fortunatelly for me, I have a ceiling that has those panels that can be pushed and hide cables. ... show more

For the most part this is great. First game I played didn't require me to turn very much and I found using this product honestly revolutionary. I always thought the cable running right out of the headset wasn't *that bad* but it's hard to imagine going back now. However, when I started playing something that requires a lot of physical turning (Blade & Sorcery) the cable very quickly became tangled up over my head and felt like it was going to pull my headset off. I have a very low ceiling so maybe I'm in the minority here but I found this to be extremely disappointing as it quickly removes all immersion gained by not having the cable touching my back. If a v3 can address this I will buy it in a heartbeat though. ... show more

This thing works so much better than I expected. Ny ceiling isn't very smooth and these have stayed up with consistent use for a few months now. Doesn't quite feel wireless or anything but it does a damn good job at what it does.

Good but not great. Definitely an improvement over having your cable tangled up on the floor or around your leg. Instructions leave MUCH to be desired and you'll probably have to place your hooks by trial and error. Better instructions and/or a video would have saved my ceiling from a couple unnecessary holes. TIP: Use the anchors even in a stud! Putting screws in a ceiling has different physics than putting them in a wall. White is a great choice if you have a white ceiling. It doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought. Wish the retracting line itself was white but its OK. The main problem with this is that the tension on the retractable line is not strong enough. I'm using this with the valve index cable, and if the pulleys are farther than 2 feet apart the line will sag down to my head height. So initially I had the hooks spread out for my space, then I had to move them closer together just to keep the line up. This would not be an issue if the tension was stronger. And because of the low tension, I also need at least 2 more pulleys than the 6 they send so that it covers the full length of my cable. There doesn't seem to be an option to buy individuals so I'll probably just buy another set (which makes a fairly expensive $60 project out of a fairly cheap $30 project). I'm also worried about how long these will last. They are basically the same strength as any of the retractable belt clip ons you'd use with your swipable work badge. I can't see these lasting long, especially with only 6 doing the heavy lifting. TLDR: These are good enough and better than nothing, and might be the best you can buy. DIYers surely could do better. ... show more

VR with this pulley system is, no pun intended, a game changer. For the price, it's hard to not feel like you're getting so much more in return for your dollar. You can move freely around your game area without the cumbersome, and often infuriating, cable weighing you down and getting in the way. Stepping on the cable and getting jerked back, or even worse, tripped up is a thing of the past. The pulleys themselves appear to be made quality materials and provide just enough tension to keep the cord out of the way, but not so much where you feel like you're fighting against it. I got the white ones which blend in with my ceiling and are not nearly as offensive to look at as I thought they would be. What I really like about the system is it pretty much eliminated my need for extension cables. When you run the cable on the floor you kinda need extra cable to keep it flat on the floor and out of your way. But the pulleys keep it out of the way all the time without the need for excess slack. 10 out of 10 a must for anyone who wants to experience VR without restrictions. ... show more
