  • Fantastic build quality
Great upgrade for the front of the Axial RR10 Bomber. On the springs that came installed on the shocks I have the preload dialed all the way out (top of the shock) and currently have 25 weight oil in them. Might need to go lighter on the front for crawling but it works pretty well for general all terrain driving. Build quality on these shocks is so nice I want to eventually replace the stock GTR shocks on my Slash. The top small springs work great over small imperfections and minor bumps. The longer springs handle the rest. I have the XL length on the rear of the Bomber. ... show more

  • Excellent shocks, very high quality, excellent performance, NO LEAKS!
Love these shocks! They come fully assembled, just add your oil weight of choice and they're ready to run. I used 4 of these on my Wraith with 20 weight Team Associated oil and WOW! Major improvement in control and articulation over stock. Pro-line also offers a separate spring tuning kit that compliments these quite well to give you a wide range of tuning options. Highly recommend these or the Pro-line scalers for any build. ... show more

  • Upgrade of OEM shocks on Slash 2wd VXL - amazing!!
I've been racing my 2WD VXL slash on 2S for a while at an indoor dirt/clay track. The stock required I change shock oil to about a 50wt. That helped but ride height was tricky and racing on a track was hard. I upgraded to some oversize Amazon shocks - much stiffer with heavier springs. I used 50/40 wt shock oil and that was better but did not have any movement of the shocks except huge jumps. It would chatter in high speed bumps on a corner as the suspension wasn't dialed in right. I didn't need sway bars as the shocks and springs were so hard. These are like the bears and oatmeal. First too soft, second too hard, these - just right! It is a dual spring per shock (think dual rate). The small black spring is very soft and once it compresses fully, the white spring compression starts. This makes the chatter bumps almost a non-issue as the shock oil weight is 45/40, the compression is better. I am looking at other spring rates and oils to really dial it in, at least I found a shock I feel I can do that with. Granted - not cheap, but you are getting what you pay for. BTW - these come empty so you have to add your own shock oil. ... show more

  • Best shocks you can get!
They're big. They're machined. They're tough. They're two hole piston (typically the preferred piston of choice anyways). They have a threaded body so you can adjust preload without using preload clips. They're dual rate springs (two springs) so the ride is extremely smooth. (People who don't like progressive or dual rates can just pull the small black spring out and move the threaded cap down to compensate) They mounted using the stock hardware on my slash 4x4. ... show more

  • Great Quality, Noticeable Difference in Performance
This things are built with great quality. The tolerances are low and it just feels great to work with. Filling with shock oil was a pleasure and didn't take more than a minute or two per shock. This is my second purchase of theses and I've ran them for several years in my 4x4 Slash. Even with lots of abuse, they have held up and still perform very well! ... show more

  • Best shocks ever made
Absolute best shocks on the market I don’t care what anyone says I will use these until I die, great price, value, and durability. I have taken these to a skatepark and jumped a 12 ft bowl and the shafts still haven’t bent!

  • Your product should arrive by Sept 19...
.... And it is now the 23rd and I am still waiting. I would like to give this product any rate at all... but it has to get here first. Not impressive Amazon. Update Arrived 24 Sept.. Came in bubble envelopes, not a box... Bad idea for a machined item with an extended inner rod. I will not be ordering parts through amazon again. The shocks themselves seem well made. Fit and finish is good. They come empty (no oil). I am a bigger fan of dual springs rather than progressive. In my hand and filled the action is slow and a bit stiff. They are this way empty as well , so its not a function of springs or dampening. They may loosen up with use as they wear in. I'll be racing this weekend weather permitting. Short course traxxas slash 4x4..And will update ... Raced on sunday... the dual spring system was much better than the progressive springs on dirt track. Dampening was excellent.. no bouncing around. Jumps were a bit odd.. acceleration out of the jumps wheelied the car... something that never happened with the previous shocks.. maybe adjustments in the rear will fix this.. the shocks sucked up landing impact allowing fast recovery for dual jumps and moguls.. cornering was excellent.I am running 30 wt. I would recommend this product if you have the cash... I would also recommend you buy it somewhere that isn't amazon. ... show more

  • Not bad but too expensive for what they are
The springs are super soft. I had to replace them for these to be of any use. The shocks are okay but much too pricey for what they are.
