    • So.... I did not intend to buy this game. I ended up loving it so much that I bought it twice.

Let me preface this by saying I've been a fan of this franchise (or most of it) since I was 11 years old. I received Sands of Time for my 11th birthday, and it might be my most replayed single player game of all time. I was obsessed with the environment, the combat, the music, all of it. The sequels didn't hold QUITE the same place in my heart, but I still liked them very much. PoP classic was bad... a crappy money grab that I regretted buying. The 2008 reboot honestly made me sick, I hated almost every single thing about the game, and I was terrified it would singlehandedly kill the series I had loved so much. When the sands of time remake was announced, I was ecstatic. I figured they can't really mess it up too badly, even if its the exact game with slightly improved graphics while being playable on newer consoles and PC... I'll gladly pay for nostalgia. Now.... when The Lost Crown was announced, I rolled my eyes and was kind of peeved. I saw another money grab, odd graphics, and almost NOTHING that reminded me of the old PoP we all came to love. I knew I wouldn't spend the money on it, and was mad that they were wasting their time on this game while continuing to delay Sands of Time. I'm now 31 years old... 20 years after I played Sands of time. I honestly don't remember the last time I was so enamored by a game, aside from maybe some parts of Elden Ring. This game is so close to perfect, in my opinion, that I want to cry. It IS a true prince of Persia game, through and through. It is a mixture of every Prince of Persia game ever made, with some boss fights that are borderline souls-like. The labrynths are amazing, the trash mobs are obnoxious, the soundtrack is epic, the stylized graphics are gorgeous, every boss fight had me saying 'that is SO COOL' without fail... I played through the entire storyline in less than two days on my switch.... and then purchased the game on Xbox. I could probably write a novel about how much I adore this game, just in the two days I've been playing it. Thank you thank you thank you Ubisoft, for creating this absolute gem, and I'm sorry for hating it before giving it a chance. You've created an amazing game, but kept it a true tribute to its predecessors. PLEASE keep up the good work, and keep the franchise on this path. ... show more

I bought this game and recieved it today. However, it was the UK version. I know this because it has a rating system of pegi and not ESRB. Minor inconvenience as I don't know if it will play on my Xbox X or not and might have to return it for the US version.
