  • Nice stove
Size: 2.3L
I'm a fan for the vintage kerosene swedish stoves and lanterns, and the recent stoves as well. This is working with Butane canisters, and has the integrated pressure regulator. I don't know the quality of this regulator, but I think it's not the superior high technology so it seems ok. The one matter users must know: this kind of 'advanced feature' will wear itself after 5-10years later, so you must consider the regulator part must be worn, and will have malfunction in the future. and I am sure it's not able to be fixed by a consumer. the regulator is not designed as for it, so the part should be replaced with the new one. I don't know Primus will cover that problem in the future, I think up to now they don't sell the regulator part for the consumer market. If you are the usa consumer, Primus USA would cover it, but the international buyer as me, it's another story. Another thing you should know: this stove can be worked as the inverted canister position, I think the brass pile on the burner contains heats for the vaporizing the liquied-feeded lp gas, but this feature is not designated/declared by the maker Primus. I don't know the regulator is still working okay with the liquified gas, and another factor you should consider - the dirt inside of the canister. When you're using the refilled(if you refilled it) canister or any of old canister, I think 1-2years old one from manufactured date, it's not a good idea to use as inverted position. All above is my personal opinions you can consider as your own sight. From my experience,During Cold circumstances as negative 5Celsius condition, 100% nbutane filled canister would not work very well even as the inverted position, low output. But this is not the problem or cons of this stove, it's very same for all the butane stoves. With an integrated regulator butane stoves like this one has a Pros for it: a way better output during the same cold weather. the stove burner is wokring at very - low gas pressure, so it's good point. I don't know once again; Why Primus never say about this feature. the inverted liquid feeding can be okay for it. Might be one of these reasons; 1. it will occur troubles for the stove/burner/regulator/any of. 2. doesn't want to have any responsibility about it. 3. doesn't care it because she thinks nobody considers it from this consumer market : ie. LP stove consumers are dumb, they don't know anything, just it works - it's fine. (in her view) 4. the parts are not designed as the liquid feed condition. Last, I don't think this stove will work with Propane gas. The Regulator's specification is not declared so I don't know. Fyi the similar companhy Optimus Gemini's integral regulator can have the higher pressure from Propane which was declared on the user manual. ... show more

  • Excellant Camping Stove
Size: 1.3 L
Does all its supposed to do very well. Boils water very fast. The only complaint is the pot handle is a little clumsy.

  • Faster with Less Hassle Stove
Size: 1.3 L
The burners that attach to the top of the butane canisters gave me anxiety when cooking. I love the Primus stove mainly because I'm no longer concerned about starting forest fires or ruining my food or spilling the boiling water. The lower and larger surface of the Primus is much safer and impossible to knock over. Yes, it adds a little more weight than the attachment burners, but let's be honest, those things suck. Just spend the extra money for peace of mind and faster boiling times! ... show more

  • Just keeps getting better
Size: 2.3L
This is the third generation of this stove I have purchased - not because the prior versions were bad, but because the newer versions just keep getting better. I use this stove for power-outage cooking, so I can't speak to it's abilities as a camp stove. I gave my two previous generations to relatives for similar use, and they love them. (My mom ought to write a book on how to cook EVERYTHING on this stove during power outages.) What keeps getting better about this stove (from one generation to the next) is: (i) ease of operation; (ii) heat transfer; and (iii) included accessories. I am amazed how many hours of operations I can get out of this stove on a 16 oz can of butane/propane mix. The fit and finish of this most recent stove is superb - maybe even better than the prior generation. Can't imagine how they will improve it next time around, but I' sure they will - and I'll be there to buy it! ... show more

  • Scouting trip hike with 5
Size: 2.3L
Used hiking with scouts worked great. Only knock is that the lighter it came with is kinda of useless. Bring a big lighter. Need to protect ceramic liner with cloth while packed. Wish second pot had heat exchanger takes twice as long with that pot to boil water. Good for larger groups 4 or 5 hiking

  • Great product with not so good lid.
Size: 2.3L
I would give this stove a full 5 stars as it cooked amazingly and FAST saving fuel, was mostly well made and thought out. I cooked dinner for 7 using this set up. The bad side was after the first use the plastic lid cracked in half while stowed in my backpack. I only went on an overnight and I baby my stuff so I was really surprised at the durability of it. Hopefully Primus will be able to solve the problem. ... show more

Good Stove for a group but you will use quite a bit of fuel simmering food.
