Super, high frame for a 8'x8' bedroom will allow for lots of storage space underneath...the only way to go! Two of us built it in less than 30 minutes. And we used a rubber mallet to get a few of the center bars in place to add the screw. The were tight with the paint at those spots but it worked out easily. First of all, the value of this bed frame (at least the Twin XL version) is simply unmatched. So it gets five stars for that alone. Assembly was difficult in a few steps. The machining on the metal is imprecise. Some cut out holes where you needed to insert certain parts were hard to get in and required a lot of force. One of the slots where you place the slabs (looks like a "U"), was too narrow to get a slab in. Required a hammer to force the slab in. In the end, it worked, but not without some sweat and cursing. The end product is nice, minimalist, and sturdy. It doesn't squeak, at all. The slabs are lower than the border frame, so your mattress is inset and doesn't slide around. I'm very happy with this purchase. Again, you can't beat the price and the product is great. Just a little hassle in assembly, but it's worth it. ... show more

Simple, basic, affordable, sturdy. Everything I was looking for in a bed frame. I have not heard any squeaks which seems to be a common complaint for steel bed frames but this one seems solid.
