  • Piece of mind
Hopefully never need to test it, but gives you added security when you're in a tree stand.

  • Seems solid
Hope I never have to try it out but it seems solid and compact.

  • Consider this.
Great idea. How do I trust it to function if I can't test it at least once? If you cannot test the product how do know it's going to work? Trust it? What if it doesn't work? What if you use a climbing tree stand? How do you recover it if you fall out? Let's say you slip, you have one option, going down. It seems there is an internal cam (all descent devices use a friction cam) that could be reset but you can't. The one time use is based on trust. Every piece of climbing or descending gear in existence can be tested but this. Carry a cell phone with a tether and a battery, a whistle and tell people where you are. Most maps can share your location. Put reflective tape on your tree stand. Make sure your safety harness has a leg loop to stand in to relieve suspension tree to prevent suspension trauma. ... show more

  • It very light if you do use the tree strap & carabiner. Without that stiff, it weights 1 lb
It a one-and-done product. So, if you-test it, you will have to purchase a second unit. I did not use the tree strap & carabiner. I connect the unit to a life-line at ground level

  • One time use!
This is a great item. But it is a ONE TIME USE!!! Hopefully you never use the function, but it is a onetime use piece of equipment. Other then that it a great piece of safety equipment. This is a piece of equipment that you hope is never needed, but might possibly keep you safe to go hunting again an see your loved ones after using. ... show more

  • Well made but weights alot
Well, not sure if it works the way it should as it is a one time use only. Haven’t had to use it. Thank goodness!!! Seems to be made very well. My only concern is how heavy it is. That is a lot of extra weight to carry around with you. Especially when using climbing sticks to a hang-on stand.

  • Looks like the product I ordered
I can’t say this met my expectations and hope I never have to say it does/did Falling from a tree is the last thing anyone wants but rest assured if it does happen to me and it works as it should I’ll let you know but if it doesn’t work I HOPE I can let you know it didn’t

  • Packaging destroyed
The packaging was destroyed before shipping. It appears that all of the parts are there but they were all loose in the package. It almost looks like it had been opened and returned or something.
