  • Eureka!!! It works!!!
I've had my Mega-Motion lift chair, purchased through Overstock, for only three years. Every winter, I often get static-shocked by the remote. The first winter, the remote's USB port blew out, followed by the lights, but lift & recline features still worked. But a couple of weeks ago, after a gigantic shock, the chair refused to go forward out of seated mode, yet would go backward. I got out of the chair, reclined it all the way, and then it worked fine... I attributed it to a pinched cable or something. A week later, the opposite problem... it would only go forward and lift. This time, raising it up all the way did not reset it - it was dead!!! I SO looked forward (eyes rolling) to spending hundreds on a new chair, plus spend the effort trashing the old chair, packing materials, etc. It suddenly hit me to look for a replacement remote... after all, the motor worked fine. God Bless Amazon... I found the exact remote's picture listed under the Pride name, and took the chance. Easy install, just unplug old remote, and plug in the new one, and turning the chair over, or on its side, wasn't necessary. Funny, although there's been static on the chair itself, I've had no static shocks on the remote since installing it a few days ago... maybe those original remotes with the USB ports were the problem. A NEW REMOTE WORKED!!! I might just buy another one to keep on hand... when you absolutely need a lift chair, even three days without one is torture. ... show more

  • Soooo glad I found this !
Exactly what I needed…the remote & the extra cable ! By the time the original company got bank to me w/a quote, this remote was on its way & for half the price quoted by the original company. Works perfectly & within seconds of plugging it into the chairs device. Thank you !!

  • Perfect repair
Loved this repair option for an expensive lift chair. My issue was the old hand control got wedged in the recline mechanism and it shredded the control line and refused to work. When I installed the new hand control I used a safety pin to secure the control line to the middle of the chair seat - away from the recline corners. Just had to remove the back of the chair to secure to the middle section. ... show more

  • instructions for installation were not inclusive
over priced, remote that came with chair had charger port for phone. Instructions were a little confusing with a warning top remove part of chair when replacing remote, but my chair did not even have the part in question. Also you were to remove old ties that held cable to frame, but thgere were no replacement ties in with remote ... show more

  • It arrived fast. When a control is broken, you need a replacement immediately.
I like the service, and the ease of use, but these controls don't last very long. This is the third control I've had to buy.
