I wanted a fall/winter skirt but with a taylored slim look. The problem is other fitted skirts can become uncomfortable after a nice big meal for me ;) This is perfect because it looks fitted, yet it stretches. Comfortable all day long and also slenderizing!!

I had a particular look in mind for this semi-casual work event. This particular brown ended up not being my favorite and I'm pretty forgiving; it's brown after all. And it didn't feel like the heavy corduroy I grew up with, but that's okay too. What I liked about the skirt was the length. I am 5'3 1/2, 185 lb. It came somewhere between my shins and ankles and I was planning to wear a 3 inch platform Oxford shoe. But I suppose that would depend on whether you have long legs vs. short waist etc. I'd say I'm average where that's concerned. The slit is perfect. I couldn't have anything that was showing thigh when I sat down or walked. It came about just above my knees. It was substantial enough material to not feel overly thin, but it also wasn't overly heavy material, which I wonder if that's the reason it didn't seem to have much shape or form. It could also be that I needed to size down. I purchased an 18 based on the recommendation. And whenever the recommendation tells me to go up, I have learned to go up lol! Unfortunately by the time I got it here, tried it on, it just looked a bit frumpy with the rest of my outfit. When I took those exact other items and put them with a Palazzo pant that I think I got from Amazon ages ago, the outfit was super cute with the Palazzo pants. So I just returned the skirt. I also got it in khaki which actually looked much better for some reason. You know how sometimes different colors just work better with certain materials? Perhaps that was the case here, but again it just looked a bit frumpy and not quite stylish. You could dress it up some I suppose. I had kind of a preppy vibe going, channeling my high school days, and it just didn't work with the skirt. I got a really cute crew neck long sleeve tighten it sweater from Amazon, a crispy white shirt with a great collar and cuffs which was admittedly boxy so I'm glad I was wearing it under the sweater. It may have more versatility. Someone could probably dress it up a little more with a blazer, or dress it down with a t-shirt and sneakers, both of which I would 100% do if it had looked good on me. Because of the other great things like having pockets, a well placed slit with a great height, being able to walk in it comfortably, I gave it four stars because given those things I just mentioned, I would have just returned it and sized down, but I got it on a flash sale and the price went up by $8 and I couldn't get it here in time. The one star off is that I still have a suspicion the shape could be a little more improved. So perhaps give it a try, but really look at the measurements. For the price, $39 last I checked, you really should like how you look in it. ;-)

Color: Brown - It is more a golden, caramel brown, not a cocoa brown. A wide-wale corduroy type fabric, with a good amount of stretch to it. That being said, I sized up two sizes to an 18! Usually a 14 with Ann Taylor, Talbots, but based on reviews, I sized up! Glad I did! This skirt also has two front side pockets which I don't like because they tend to add or gap no matter what and ruin the look of clothing! The lining of the pockets move around so I will trim those off and tack the pockets closed. I personally don't like pockets on anything for that reason - they ruin the line of the clothing. That is why I carry a handbag! I recommend this skirt, but be sure to size up! The color is lovely for Autumn, the fabric is lightweight, will be perfect with boots, and a sweater. There is a nylon zipper front, with a button closure. Enjoy it!

I typically wear an 8 or 10 and from reading the reviews I sized up to a 12 and it was still too small. It would zip and button but it pulled and didn't fit as it should. The color was beautiful and the fabric was nice just the sizing is off.

I ordered this skirt for work and it is perfect! Fits true to size, has some stretch to it so it fits snug, but not binding at all. I ordered the dark brown skirt and it's a beautiful color. I'm 5'4", 155 lbs and I ordered the size 14 and it fit perfectly. I loved it so much that I ordered it in black as black. They will look great with boots this winter!

Normally I’m a 6-8 for bottoms and I am very pear shaped (34-27-40). Luckily I followed the size guide and read reviews so I ordered up to a size 12, or 4 inches larger than my natural waist, to allow for some extra room. I’m glad I did, as the hips and thighs aren’t tight and I have about an extra 2 inches on the waist which I can easily belt. So the size chart is not quite true either and this is definitely cut for a curvier shape. The material is thick, warm and well made. The color is slightly redder than online, but I’m happy. It hits me at just below my mid calf and the slit goes to a few inches above my knee, perfect for a knee high boot. Overall, I’m happy with this skirt, but beware of the sizing and if you want a looser fit, add an additional size, as that worked for me.
