I have nothing bad to say about this flat iron. It heats up quickly, has adjustable temperature, ceramic plates and LCD digital display. It comes with a carrying bag, two gloves as well as two alligator clips. The cord is also pretty sturdy and rotates, was also impressed that you could lock the barrel to prevent damage and make it even more compact for travel or storage. It didn't go higher than 360 degrees but it did get my hair straight. Great pick up for the price. ... show more

This hair at straightener is actually good for the price! It heats up fast and you can adjust the heat. I have thick frizzy hair and it does a good job de frizzing and straightening it. I love the gloves it comes with!

The media could not be loaded. The hair straightener from Prefty is, in my opinion, a great value for the price. This tool is travel ready, since it has dual voltage capability, it has a safety lock feature; and comes with all the required accessories. In fact, in addition to the alligator clips and the carrier bag, it also comes with not one, but 2 heat resistant gloves. The device is very lightweight, beautifully designed. The ceramic, floating plates are about 5 inch long, decent size, in my opinion. The controlling buttons are pretty simple, only 3 functions: power, increase temp and decrease temp. The best thing about the controls is that I have them on the lateral aspect of the iron, so not a risk of accidental changes while styling. The temp goes up to 430 F. I can see the heating progress indicated by the flashing LED lights. I have to argue about the "15 second heat up time", as you can see in my video, it takes about 35 secs to reach 360 F, and a bit more than a min to finally go up to the max temp. But, honestly, that is not a problem for me. I always turn on my hot appliances and take my time sectioning and prepping my hair. A full 60 secs is still a pretty fast time. The most important thing about the temperature is how stable it is, and this flat iron really delivers a stable heat, no smell, no frying my hair. I can tell you: I am used to go up to high temperatures with my unruly hair. I used this device on 360 F setting and it sure was one pass. Remember I always bring my parter in crime: my rat tail comb, to guide the hair strand as I move down with the iron. The cord is not the longest, but it is of good quality, no tangle, and it swivels in a 360 degrees rotation. My only complain about the performance of this tool is that my hair got a bit of static at the end; I also have to be very gentle at the tips, because it might snug and pull a little, so the floating feauture and the ionic generating function might need to be improved. It's a fair price for a budget hair straightener, and in the end, it works pretty well. But there are some drawbacks: the gold shiny handle shows fingerprints very easily, there are big temperature jumps (I normally use a setting around 370, but this jumps from 360 to 400 with nothing in between), and it's not the smoothest pull. No snags, just doesn't glide that easily. But it does heat up fast and comes with heat gloves and hair clips. Has a lock to lock it closed. ... show more

This flat iron is of good quality and very easy to use. Temperature control helps maintain the temperature throughout the styling window. It heats up quickly and doesn’t seem to damage my hair. I would recommend.

I know it's a minor thing but this is the only hair straightener I've had that comes with a drawstring pouch for travel. It's just one of the things I like about this straightener. You also get 2 hair clips and 2 gloves. This straightener heats up extremely quickly and did a great job at straightening my hair with minimal effort. I like the LCD display so I can see at a glance what the temperature is set to. I also like the locking mechanism and the fact that it's dual voltage, making it perfect for travel. This isn't a bells and whistles straightener but, for the price, it has everything I would look for and, most importantly, it straightens my hair really well. ... show more
