This pillow cover is basically my East Coast personality in textile form. The gray-blue plaid and bold “EAST COAST” lettering are total prep-chic vibes, and it looks amazing in my setup. From across the room? She’s serving cute coastal dorm-core. Up close, though… the material is a little disappointing. It’s that slightly stiff, synthetic-feeling fabric you often see on printed decor—not scratchy, but definitely not soft. It has a slick texture, not what I’d want to rub my face on. It’s fine for lumbar use, which is what I’m doing—propped on a chair, not on a bed. To help with the shape, I stuffed it with my old pillow (still in its textured case), which added some structure and makes it look more plush. Bottom line: it’s a 10/10 on visual impact, 6/10 on touch. It’s not luxurious, but it is adorable. If looks are your priority and comfort’s secondary, it’s a great pick. ... show more

This pillow case hits the mark for bringing a beachy, coastal vibe to the decor, especially if you are near the East Coast. It layers well with other throw pillows, and its unique, bright red lettering design adds a lot of interest. The material is a soft polyester. It did not come with any care instructions, thus I will be spot cleaning, hand washing, and hang drying the pillow case to be on the safe side. The words "East Coast"- along with the stripes - are printed material; in other words, there are no iron-on patches or embroidery. The pillow case shows excellent sewing. The zipper track is hidden beneath the seam when closed. Opening and closing the case is easy; the tiny, color-matched zipper pull moves along the zipper track smoothly. The words "East Coast" are centered on both sides of the pillow, and the stripes on both sides line up nicely at the seams. The pillow case arrived folded as you can see the creases in the first picture, so I did have to iron out the wrinkles (2nd picture). I did supply the 12" x 20" pillow insert (see pic 3), and I am very pleased with the result. ... show more
