I needed particular sizes for the holiday decorative pillow covers I wanted and I didn't want to spend a long time trying to find them in a store. The area we live in has limited shopping and traveling can be a hassle at times. This was my first time at buying pillows on line and I have to admit to being a skeptic - they come flat? What? I took a gamble and ordered these pillows and they were definitely flat- AND DEFINITELY WELL WORTH THE TIME! I love these pillows because they appear to be made well, they are soft, and they are the right fit for the covers I ordered. I ordered the 18x18's and 12x20's. They were easy to manipulate into the covers and the end result looks great. These will be my go to pillows for any future buys. After opening them I shook them out and laid them on our dining room table. I shook them off and on, and also used the palms of my hands to apply light pressure across their tops to maybe help shape them. I did this only 4 times a day. Possible overkill on my part - just make sure you let them sit out for 2 or 3 days - I used mine in 2 and a half days. Will definitely buy again when needed! ... show more

When I took the pillows out of the packaging they fluffed right up with no problem. I didn't have to put them in the dryer...and if I decide to do that I will definitely try it with the cover on it (so I don't need to struggle to get the cover on). I bought these pillows to use as decorative couch pillows... they are not firm and would not recommend getting off you're looking for a support pillow. But for what I needed it works just fine. If they get a little flat from laying on it just fluff it up and it looks good. The pillows are really soft and not firm at all, so I think due to that it doesn't remain fluffy looking...or maybe I just needed to get a bigger pillow for my cover. I purchased the 22x22 pillows and the cover is 20x20... but if I had to do it over I'd go even bigger on the pillows so the pillows can be a little more fluffy and firmer. Overall I'm satisfied and will not be returning the pillows. The 22x22 pillows still look great in my covers and they do look fluffy, I just was hoping for pillows that were soft and firm all in one. I do not think the pillows will lose shape easily because you just fluff it right back up and they look great.... and again I didn't throw them in the dryer... so maybe that's something I can try. Maybe putting it in the dryer for some time will help give it some firmness, not sure. I do recommend these pillows as decorative pillows only and not for support...however, if you want it for support make sure your pillow is bigger than the case by at least 2-4 inches (closer to 4 inches). ... show more

These pillows come compressed for delivery but fill out very nicely. They can be a challenge to fit into covers but are perfectly shapeable through a little extra work. I highly recommend them for purchase.
