Me personally imma keep it real , yes when you receive this mattress and take it out the plastic it will have an odor. It’s not a harmful odor it’s normal google it. To help the smell go away make sure you do not lay on it for 24-72hrs no sheets on it nothing have a window open in your room all the way and even a fan blowing will help as well. The bed is not as advertised. It's not medium firm, its more like very soft, almost to the point I felt if I layed near the edge, I felt as if I'd fall off the edge. The softest bed I’ve ever owned. I got it specifically because some comments mentioned how they didn’t like it due to how soft it was, which meant I needed it. My last mattress was too firm and gave me headaches. This is like sleeping on a pillow, and for a decent price too.

Can feel the springs. “Memory foam topper” is too soft and you sink right into the springs.
