Likes: compact easy to store size, inexpensive, simple to use. Negatives: requires frequent filling, only use with small granuals, difficult to get even coverage. Only recommend if you have a small lawn. Only used once so far, but I think it will last for years to come. Used a few times with no problems. Like this type of spreader design over the big drop type. However, I've upgrade to a battery operated design from a different manufacture. Bought this spreader to use on snow and icy sidewalks and driveway. Good size because if any bigger it would be too heavy once filled with de-over. Works great for fair price!

    • Waste of money and time
I bought the spreader thinking this was a good product mainly because of what the seller say's it can do and how could the product is. Well when i went to use the spreader from the first time and no matter what setting you put the spreader on for the flow of fertilizer to spread out the spreader gets stuck and you can not turn the handle. So I tried it again this time with such a small amount that you need to keep putting such a small amount of what your using for the spreader to work that it will take you hours to get the job done. I tried it another day. same thing no matter how much product I put in the spreader it gets stuck. There is no point in using this at all. I had to throw it away. The product detail on how good it is and how it works is no good and did noting but wasted my money ... show more

    • Great hand spreader but...
When you open the hopper it immediately starts falling out. I use it for fertilizer for the patch between the road and my sidewalk. I feel silly having to get a head start on walking before I open the hopper, but it serves its purpose and spreads fairly even. Couldn't ask for more at this price.

My first one lasted twenty-three years and it was only my heavy hand that broke it; the fact that the manufacturer is still making the same product with virtually the same design is its own testament! Definitely would recommend to a friend!

    • Not worth it.
This thing is not worth the money in my opinion. It works, somewhat. Large bb size 10-10-10 have difficulty going through. The ergonomics are horrendous and when you fill it there’s nothing to help keep it level. POS in my opinion.
