Description

The Petmate "ProValu" Wire Crate offers separate entrances and a secure 5-location lock system for a safer and more convenient kennel. The separate entrances on either side of the crate offer easy access and simplify the placement of the crate door. The more secure door and rounded corners prevent snags and keep pets safe inside. The crate is coated with a rust-resistant black e-coat finish for long-lasting strength. The crate is easily collapsible to roughly two inches for easy storage and transport. The ProValu Crate comes with a divider panel that can be easily adjusted for pets as they grow. The removable polypropylene pan allows for simple and easy cleaning. The ProValu Crate comes in 6 sizes: extra small, small, medium, medium large, large, and extra large to accommodate a wide range of dogs.

I’m not crazy about putting dogs in crates at all but I understand the used for them I had to use a couple to transport my dog from one city to the other I felt that they were safe and secure in that crate as I traveled

Our three large kittens (average 15lbs ea.) fit comfortably. The cage is well built and strong. I purchased it in case we have to evacuate because of forest fires (The Ash Canyon fire several years ago). This way we have a peace of mind that our kittens can travel with us.

Wow it is a good thing my dog behaves when kenneled or else he could destroy this flimsy crate. Closing it can be somewhat of a pain but the best part is it was not too expensive.

I have an older, larger Precision crate but needed a smaller one for motorhome travel. This one is PERFECT in every way. Assembly is simple and intuitive, no tools needed. Good thing since the instructions were in the bottom of the crate and inaccessible until the crate was almost fully assembled! The crate is extremely sturdy yet lightweight. Excellent feature is the door "redundancy secure" mechanism - you slightly lift the door (~1/8-1/4") to clear the curved "holders" to close door and then the latch is aligned to be closed (extra security). The slight lift feature is repeated to open the door. Ditto the side door. Two other A++ features are (1) the crate tray (floor) is bendable and thus not likely to crack and (2) the sides securely attach to each other preventing the occupant from pushing and creating an opening. When fully assembled it easily fit through the motorhome door. This is definitely a well-made product, perfect for its intended use. The handle (presumably for carrying the de-assembled crate??) is not mentioned anywhere in the directions. More intuitive stuff... it slips over the wire so can be affixed to the top and can easily carry the assembled crate. I'll see if it is useable on the de-assembled crate when (if) I ever need to deassemble it. ... show more
