Overall I like the concept. However, I've shot video of my swing using it and can testify that the magnet releases early even without my casting the club. The sound seems to come at impact but the video doesn't lie. My hands are at hip level, the magnet above them and my wrists are fully cocked at 90 degrees but the magnet is already sliding backwards and upwards and away from my target. At very slow swing speeds it behaves as advertised. I'm by no means more than 80 MPH clubhead speed but this happens with the dial set at 5. ... show more

Not sure if it is increasing my club head speed but it is definitely making me more aware of what good tempo combined with lag and wrist action is supposed to feel like. Also gets you to focus more on full arm extension and one piece takeaway. Lunging at the top and casting are also cured with this. I usually swing it in my basement ( I have 9’ ceilings) before a round and between rounds. You do not need to be a gadget fanatic and take it to the course with you. After I got the training aide . I took it to the lesson and the girl swung it 3 times and the tip flew off. I had to epoxy it back on 3 times before it worked properly.

The product is well-made and the pre-formed grip is useful for a neutral grip. The magnetic force is adjustable by rotating the numbered dial from 1 to 5 with 5 requiring the greatest swing speed to separate the sliding “hammer”. Is was not that hard to do so even with the maximum setting. I’m sure daily use would increase my speed , but a stronger maximum magnetic force would have provided a greater challenge.
