- PLEASE NOTE: This shop vac hose kit is designed to provide dust collection for tools with 1 OD and 1-1/2 OD dust ports that connect to a shop vacuum with a 2-1/4 ID or 2-1/2 ID port. The hose features screw on adapters that can be changed to fit the required size. Two reducers are provided to fit either size dust collecting system.
- PLEASE NOTE: The hose is designed to be small and flexible to help provide greater ease in sanding, planing, or other handheld power tool applications. The smaller diameter hose, good for this application, may not work for general vacuuming. If you plan to repurpose the kit, please refer to the detailed images to verify that the size and configuration fits your application or expectations

I really don’t understand the negative reviews for this product. I needed a longer hose for my Craftsman shop vac to enable easier connection to my power tools. These include a track saw, routers, sanders, etc. The hose is basically a hose and the various fittings supplied enabled me to make good connections to several different brands of tool. These include swivels on the connectors, which were a massive bonus to prevent the hose snagging. For the money, this kit did everything I expected of it, with a few additional features. The hose is very slightly smaller in diameter than the original, but the suction is not adversely affected. It actually gives more manoeuvrability and less restriction. An excellent buy in my humble opinion.

Excellent attachments for power tools.

I needed a hose and with adapters to connect my sander and saw to a wet/dry vacuum. I decided to buy this one because it came with multiple adapters. Now right off the bat the adapters didn't fit my particular sander. But the awesome thing about these adapters that come supplied is that they're made of tuff rubber that can be molded. I found the closest adapter that fit over the sander's connecter port and using a heat gun I softened the rubber adapter and pressed it over adapter connecter. I left the adapter connected until it cooled and it molded perfectly over the sander's connecter and kept its shape. It's an air tight snug fit that stays on with friction making it easy to swap tools. No need for clamps.of any kind. I highly recommend this product. It should last a long time.

Decent kit for basic dust collection

Overall, not a bad deal for the price. I just wish the hose was a little more flexible and that the one of port adapters was a bit larger. Works just fine, though.

Powertec 70347
Set name: Hose w/ 5 Fittings
I searched and I searched for a hose and hose connection system to connect my table saw (SawStop Jobsite Pro) blade guard dust port to my existing shop vac (Rigid). Other Powertec products failed to marry the parts together (and I tried lots) but this one worked - sort of. The small tool connector didn't fit the dust guard, but the adaptor for the vacuum did fit. Fortunately the hose fits snuggly into the blade guard port so it's kind of adequate. I'll have to see if the fit continues to hold over time as the plastic weakens. All three stars because I'm not certain about longevity of this solution. But hey, at this price I would recommend it.

Not a fit for HD Buckethead Vac

Based on reviews I thought this would work and was excited to replace the horrible hose that came with it. Unfortunately, that was not to be. I would have loved the extra length, but here is what is wrong with it. 1. the adaptors, none of them will work, the smallest is too small and does not seal at the intake port. It is also too short, which combined with the looseness of the fit, means it will detach with the littlest tug, which, if you use a vacuum, you know is one of the levels of hell meant to torment you eternally. 2. The hose is only slightly more flexible than the original, which is to say it has all the flexibility of a brick. The extra length this hose offers makes up for that a bit I guess, but it is not as flexible as the ones for larger vacs. So there you have it, not for the HD Buckethead, the search continues . . .

Works well but wants to curl back up like it was a spring.

Compatible and works well with my craftsman shop vac. Easy to attach and durable enough that it does not collapse under the suction from the vacuum. It’s obviously flexible, but it does have a “memory” to it. When you uncoil it, it wants to go right back to its coiled state which can be distracting. Overall well worth the price and I don’t think anything can be done about the coiling of the hose except heavy use. So far it has held up with my 20 gallon shop vac. It does come with different attachments / adapters ensuring a good fit and seal for proper cleaning.
