I've been using the SENCTRL Automatic Vacuum Switch for about 6 months now with my table saw, miter saw, and router table, and I can't imagine going back to manual dust collection. This thing is brilliant! Setup was super easy—just plug your power tool into one outlet, your shop vac or dust collector into the other, and flip the switch to Auto mode. The load-sensing tech detects when the tool starts and fires up the vacuum instantly (with a smart 1-second delay to prevent any circuit overload—never once tripped a breaker). When I shut off the tool, it keeps the vac running for about 7 seconds to clear the last bit of dust from the hoses—perfect for thorough cleanup without me having to remember to turn it on/off every time. The new generation manual override (Auto/Off/On) is a huge upgrade too. If I'm just running the vac for general shop cleanup or want to force it off during a quick job, it's right there. Build quality feels solid—thick 14AWG cord, sturdy housing, and it handles my 1-1/2 HP dust collector no problem. My shop stays noticeably cleaner, I breathe less dust, and I save time and sanity not fumbling with switches mid-project. If you're tired of dust everywhere or manually starting/stopping your vac, do yourself a favor and grab this. Easily one of the best workshop upgrades I've made—5 stars all the way! Great product. Easy to set up, easy to use and a great value. I combined the Senctrl with the Dustopper and they performed better than expected for an indoor woodworking project, almost dust free! I wish I knew about them both sooner.

2nd UPDATE: After about an additional year after receiving my replacement unit, I have had no further issues, so am upgrading the rating to 4 stars. While the customer service was good (I never actually reached out to them, they reached out to me after I made my initial review), just the fact that there were issues in the first place will keep it from getting a full 5 stars from me. All portions of the original review and 1st update have been left as originally posted for the sake of context. UPDATE: I am upping the review from 2 stars to 3 stars pending how the new unit behaves/lasts. The seller/manufacturer reached out and offered me a full refund due to my issues (listed below). As I had yet to replace my failed unit, I decided to give them a second chance and they shipped me a new unit at no additional cost to me. Like I mentioned above, I am bumping up the rating to 3 stars just for their customer service, and will update this review again in a few months based on how the replacement unit fares. ORIGINAL: Got this at the end of January, didn't get to start using it for the first 2 weeks due to needing to build my table where my saw would be used. After getting everything hooked up, it worked fine for the next 4 weeks or so then it started behaving weirdly. At first, the relay inside that is controlled by the switch would no longer allow the controlled plug to be turned on instead of auto... no big deal I thought, the main reason I got it to turn on the vac when running the saw, so if I absolutely needed to run the vac from that plug, I would swap it with the other plug manually, problem solved. Then a few days later, the relay stopped turning on the plug when the switch was in the auto position when running the saw. Now the controlled plug no longer turns on no matter what position the switch is in. Now, I am a couple weeks past my return window and stuck with a non working device. This was the least expensive version of this type of plug that I found when searching... maybe I should have spent a little more and gotten a different brand.
