  • Update, as my first review was in early 2021. I now have four if not six of these batteries
and they continue to work very well. However, I have added the Canon R5 II, and they do not work at all with it, sadly. Older Canon branded batteries work, but they throw a warning and not all functions are available. Canon has stated that a firmware update will be forthcoming, and I'm hoping it will allow these batteries to work. Meanwhile,, as there's a Black Friday 20% deal running, I'm getting two more. Below is what I wrote in early 2021: I've shot with several Canon cameras for many years. All take the LP-E6 battery, of which I now own close to 20, including many LP-E6N, one newer LP-E6NH for my newish awesome R5, and now these two. They are recognized by the camera as LP-E6NH as mny others have also found. Here's some quick test results: 1 Canon battery, H 640 shots capacity down from 100 to 93%, ad 90% after 400 shots in electronic shutter 2. Powerextra Battery 1 640 shots, down from 100 to 95%, and 93% after 400 e-shutter clicks " " #2 640 shots down from 99 to 89% then 86% after 400 e-shutter clicks, but recovered to 88% after a few minutes...Interesting. So, one battery is outstanding, the other not quite as good. So, 2 batteries for $41, compared to one Canon for $80..... not bad!! Time will tell how long they last at the top rated performance, which is 3 bars inside all my Canon camera. I also test an older LP-E6N for 345 raw shots, and it only dropped from 99 to 98%. And it is at 2 bars, so is wearing out a bit. However, all the batteries performed in full manual shutter hi speed mode which is 12 fps, flawlessly. Hmmm again, as Canon and other parties have claimed that the new H battery is required for full 12 fps performance. I'm quite happy with these batteries. Lets hope they stand up to the test of time in real use. The money I saved might go toward the expensive battery grip... as this camera's battery life in real use, with viewfinder use, etc, is not as good as my DSLR's, and for timelapses, the grip will be desired. ... show more

  • Excellent Canon replacement batteries
These LP-E6NH replacements work as well as the originals, at a fraction of the price! Properly recognized by the camera body, they charge internally and provide many exposures. Thank you for a great product!

  • Yes they really are LP-E6NH
I passed down my R to my son, so I needed a couple more batteries but didn't want to spend a lot of money so I decidedto give these a shot. They arrived with about 75% charge, so I immediately charged them to %100 and checked the battery information on the menu in my R6 which confirms that they are LP-E6NH. I also checked to see that the green "burst" mode was lit up on the LCD which it was. I haven't actually used them in the field yet so I can't comment on how long the batteries last but just the fact that they are NH was enough for me to order 2 more. I'll have a follow-up review after using them for a bit. Update I received my second pair of batteries, charged them and went for a hike to shoot some landscape. Temperature was in the 30s and the batteries performed great. I didn't count the number of pictures I took but I was out for about 3 hours and used half a battery. Went out a couple days later to do a little birding in my yard. Again Temps in the low 30s and got about a half hour of quick bursts before the battery(same battery not charged in between uses) stared to get low enough that I decided to change before it ran out . 4 batteries, very happy with them ... show more

  • A must have in your camera bag
I recently purchased the Powerextra LP-E6NH battery for my Canon camera and I'm very impressed with it. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. The battery itself is high-quality and fits perfectly in my camera. It has a long-lasting charge and I've been able to take many photos and videos on a single charge. I also love that it comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth and a protective carrying case. ... show more

  • "better" then OEM at 1/4th the price
Per reviews read here: works with canon charger, camera reads and provides status, all just like OEM. Don't know if these will last the 3-4 year hard use cycle the Canons typically provide, but 4 months in they are rock solid. Never used OEM juice before as I was always skeptical of performance and the "risk" factor of not pumping my cameras the exact flavor of juice it desires - being one of the few 7.2 volt (canon spec) aftermarket products and the strong reviews here AND the fact that at the time there were no Original Batteries available, . . I took the "chance" . . . after experiencing the performance I now have 6 in rotation and don't give it a thought, same charger, same workflow, no bricked camera bodies - life is good. AS a bonus, these have a little extra juice then OEM and although it is probably in my mind - they do seem to last longer when pushing the pedal to the metal (<;) In the final analysis, at a quarter of the OEM price, if these last only 1 year they are "as good" (for the money) . . if they last 3-4 like the OEM then they are "better" . I'm not a R5/R6 video guy, but if I was, I'd have a small army of these for short money. ... show more

  • Excellent Batteries
I have been using six of these for over three years now, recharging them 3-5 times weekly. They are still going strong and are good for at least as many shots per charge as the Canon brand. What's not to like?

  • WORKED GREAT
When I buy batteries, I always mark the date on them and these seem to last a very long time. I replace batteries every couple of years just because that's what I do. I have used these in every canon I own and have great luck with them. I can not afford the Canon brand since I replace them like I do. I replace them because even with the most expensive battery, they lose ability to hold charge after a couple of years. That is just how batteries are. ... show more

  • Looks like good batteries...
Charged good and try them on my R6 battery grip. No problem on the camera recognized them. Will try them later on a trip and see how they fare. So far, fully charged and ready for that. Will report if anything bad. Bought them as an extra set of batteries, just in case, while I'm out and about.
