    • Great performance-value ratio (pre-pandemic)
Got this card in August 2020 for less than $300 before the GPU shortages really came into full swing, so this review will be written with that cost and availability perspective in mind. Overall this is a great card and was a great value when I picked it up through an Amazon Warehouse deal. Card is short enough that it fit great in my tight mini-ITX case and the dual fans work WAY better at keeping it cool quieter than any blower card ever could. Now, when gaming at ultra 4k settings, the fans do need to spin up to basically max speeds often with power increased to max +20%, but the card stays under 90 degrees while gaming and the fans aren't too bad at high speed. Silent up to 60%, then progressively louder till 90%. The right fan curve can keep them from surging for short periods which makes for worse noise and gameplay stutters. Or keep card at stock power rating and have cool and quiet gaming. All the reviews that complain about buggy drivers are absolutely correct, although most bugs have been squashed. The card has an audio stutter when playing audio over the HDMI or DisplayPort outputs and I've had graphical glitches occur on occasion when gaming with two 4k monitors attached. If the pandemic hadn't destroyed the GPU market I probably would only give 3-4 stars just for all the bugs and poor drivers. But with the shortage and what I payed its an amazing value. My plan was originally to replace this card with a RTX 3070 for the optimal 4k gaming rig, but during this chip shortage I have to say that this little card really does a great job at 4k gaming. Never goes over 60fps sure, but never goes under 40 either. That said, do not buy for $400+ during this GPU shortage, just keep holding on for the shortage to end. Have had constant graphic driver crashes. Tried everything including multiple resets of graphics drivers. Horrible mistake and waste of money.

    • Avoid PowerColor at All costs!
Pros- - You can waste your time dealing with customer support! - Receive a faulty GPU then try to RMA it, it's as fun as playing the lottery! - Powercolor will tell you to try the card in other PC's, and when you tell them that you already tried that, they will tell you to try it in other PC's! Then they will refuse to replace your card because you need to try it in more PC's! Cons- - Poor quality control. - Horrible customer support. - They will not honor their warranty when you end up with a faulty GPU, leaving you with an expensive paper weight! Avoid this company at all costs! Save yourself the headache and money! ... show more
