  • **UPDATE** Amazon to the Rescue / ***UPDATE 2*** OK - NOT So Much.
Style: 9070 Hellhound
I am disappointed. The OC BIOS seems to be missing. When switched to OC BIOS, the fans do not spin, and the framerates are in the toilet (and of course, it's so very toasty!). Switched to SILENT BIOS, the fans spin a bit, the framerates a bit higher, but still totally underwhelming. I gave one star because HEY it's actually a real graphics card in the box... and it puts pictures on my screen, but this card's performance is WAY below the RTX3060 I was planning on replacing! (when did the bar get so low?) I contacted Powercolor Tech Assistance... they say, "We got your message... We'll get back to you..." This is really egregious... priced $ubstantially over M$RP... not functional, and unresponsive vendor channels **UPDATE** The current 5-star rating is for Amazon Customer Service. I texted with Amazon Customer Support today, after the past couple of days speaking with Power Color Tech Support... Power Color Tech was unable to provide a resolution to my fan/cooling issue. I followed their suggestions (for days), but nothing worked. I did not receive a reply today to my last email from yesterday, so this afternoon I contacted Amazon Customer Support. The process was quick and painless. Before I even had my outgoing box to UPS, amazon showed my replacement arriving Sunday, Yay Amazon! ***2nd Update*** (AMAZON:) We are sorry... your package is now expected July 1st. If it does not arrive by the next day... (REALITY:) No replacement so far. Was it all just a ruse? ... show more

  • Ignoring price issues, this thing is awesome!
Style: 9070 Red Devil
I upgraded to this from a RTX 3070, and wow am I impressed. The RX 9070 has double the VRAM and almost double the performance, so now I can sustain FPS high enough to use the full 144Hz refresh rate of my 1440p monitor. All this extra horsepower with the same ~220W TDP as my 3070 is very nice because I didn't have to get a new PSU. The Red Devil specifically is an amazing card. The cooler is massive and does a great job. The fans are quiet and don't sound annoying at high RPM. Core, hotspot, and VRAM temperatures are all very good. ... show more

  • Nice design Powerful card
Style: 9070 XT Red Devil Spectral
Super fast card with lots of VRAM for 1440p gaming. Special Edition card is really nice. I wish it would have had a limited edition card of some kind but oh well. Must have at least a 900w PSU to function.

  • Too big, but performs well and is great as an upgrade for an older system
Style: 9070 Hellhound
The card surely delivers, but is unnecessarily long. I used to have my gaming rig inside a FormD T1 SFF case, but this card would not fit due to its unnecessarily long cooler and shroud. Manufacturers should make a real effort to limit their cooler/ fan assemblies to more reasonable sizes (sub 325mm length). Reference designs usually are nowhere near as humongous and still perform equally as well. The card was priced at $629 when I purchased it, well above the advertised $549 that AMD had announced for the 9070. It was still one of the more affordable options - and most importantly available options. 5 stars for performance, 2 stars for cooler design, 4 stars for price. Overall, a 3.7 rating imho. The card performs without issues on a 600W Corsair SFF PSU in my aging rig, which uses a MEG 490I motherboard and 10600K core i5 and 32GB DDR4 Ram. I chose the non XT version of the 9070 because it doesn’t require 3 power connectors, which means I didn’t have to upgrade the PSU. ... show more

  • Outstanding Performance
Style: 9070 XT Red Devil
I started a new build this year and made the switch from NVIDIA to AMD—and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The RX 9070 XT is an outstanding graphics card, and I’m extremely happy with my decision.

  • !Blue screen! all the time
Style: 9070 Hellhound
I wasn't able to do my work with this graphic card. Every time that I wanted to render something in blender the gpu would just crash on the spot. I tried everything. AMD drivers, AMD adrenaline Software, even fresh install of windows and the blue screens didn't go away. But my problem was not only on blender, but also in video games. I could not play The Last of Us Part 1 because the gpu would crash just on the main menu. I wasn't able to game on the card because it would just crash all the time. Hopefully this is just one bad graphics card in a million, but I'll be staying away from Power Cooler. It is unclear to me why the card would crash on the main menus of video games; the stress of the gpu is low in the main menus of games. But even then, it would crash. ... show more

  • Great card
Style: 9070 Hellhound
60fps on Space Marine 2 at Ultra settings at 3840x1440 - WHILE - being silent AND (relatively) cool. Uses (up to) 220w of power, but even at that power level, the 3 fans are spinning slow (under 1000pm) and the GPU is at ~60C. You can't hear it. Really the only downside is the inflated price, but what GPU doesn't have an inflated price these days? ... show more
