    • Cheap and worth every penny
It feels really flimsy but it works well. I'm a home mechanic so I don't need to rely on this every day, and it works better at isolating noises than listening through a length of heater hose. For the price I'm glad to have it but I won't be surprised when it breaks in my tool box.

is it very comfortable ? no, it's a bit painful in your ears after while. the good news is, it only took about a minute to figure out that it was the alternator bearing making that annoying whine. at the end of the day, this thing is cheap, guaranteed for life and it gets the job done and i can not take away a star based on the discomfort... maybe i have weird ears ? ... show more

I really don't know much about these kind of things I ordered this for my husband because he said he wanted it.He says it works really well that it helped him diagnose a problem with his brothers truck he said he had to listen with it.     • Not exactly what I wanted.
Maybe I had the wrong expectations, but I was really looking for something with a hollow tube end to check for air leaks/etc. This has a solid rod on the end, used to diagnose vibrations/internal tapping and the like. Seems to work fine for intended use, but I'm still looking for something to meet my needs. It's built pretty cheaply, but hasn't broken yet. Seems appropriate for the price. ... show more

they work really well... the only bummer part was that the threads on the rod extension are too small and the extension just wobbles and falls off. I ended up wrapping the threads with thread tape and cranked the extension on there. It stayed without wobbling after that. I would probably just JB Weld it on or something similar that is a solid epoxy. ... show more
