  • I can't play with out it!

**Five-Star Review for PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently purchased the PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for my Xbox Series X, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! The white controller with built in LEDs are not only eye-catching but also adds a stylish touch to my gaming setup. The first thing I noticed was the comfort of the controller. It fits perfectly in my hands, and the textured grips provide excellent control during long gaming sessions. The detachable 10ft USB cable is a game-changer—no more worrying about battery life or having to recharge mid-game. The length gives me the freedom to play comfortably without being tethered too closely to the console. One of the standout features is the mappable buttons. This allows me to customize my controller layout for different games, giving me an edge in competitive play. The added rumble motors enhance the gaming experience, making every explosion and impact feel more immersive. As an officially licensed product for Xbox, I appreciate the high-quality build that PowerA delivers. The responsiveness of the buttons and analog sticks is top-notch, making it easy to execute precise movements in-game. Overall, the PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller has exceeded my expectations. It’s a fantastic option for any Xbox Series X|S gamer looking for a reliable and customizable controller. I highly recommend it! --- ... show more

  • Packing punches and roiling the competition

Having begun my gaming “career” with Pong in the mid-70’s (feel my pain), upright machines, almost every console that ever existed, and now as an eSports coach, I feel confident in providing a brief but glorious recommendation for this PowerA controller. Playing with a controller is no easy feat, especially on a PC where many controls have been culled to accommodate keyboard and mouse players. Fresh out of the box, the controller is a bit ridgid, but shortly thereafter they shift gears and become more pliable. The design and feel are almost the same as the Microsoft Wired Controller with tactile buttons and stick movements, but include a few, hidden extras. Extras come in the form of three programmable paddle buttons underneath, as well as a convenient roller-rocker volume adjustment (see pic) just between the D-pad and right stick. The volume adjustment makes the controller have a bit more value added. The grip feels silicon-based and adds stability to most butterfingers. Another brilliant addition is the Share button which allows you to capture video or screenshots of in-game play, but currently doesn’t have software established for PC players. (Some may consider this less than a bonus, but in my eyes, I bought it for the controller and speed of play.) The “dead zones” for many FPS games are really accurate, and I find myself enjoying this heavily in Call of Duty and Rocket League. One of the best features is that the cord is completely detachable. As such, the input is “break-away” and the USB-Micro B port is recessed and protected from snapping off in all directions, unlike the wireless Microsoft controller inputs. The USB chip inside is fast and responsive, cutting down on lag when you press triggers or press buttons. The triggers do tend to be a bit touchy, as only 1/10th of the way will fire a CX-9 or Sykov in a game like Call of Duty, but who really wants to not have that kind of access in the heat of battle on something like Shipment (inside CoD joke)? As for the volume issues others are experiencing, I have had no issues, but usually I am connected through a different port, so I cannot relate well here. I bought a controller to be… well, a controller, not an audio pass-through. A bit over the cost of the Microsoft wired at $40 compared to Microsoft’s $25 (MSRP), this controller is well-worth the purchase and highly-recommended. ... show more

  • Not comptabile with most devices. Overpriced for what this is.

I bought two controllers to use with a PC and Mac for emulator retro games. My brother is using it with retroarch on Windows 10 without issues. It was plug and play. Everything works including rumble. My brother said it's fine, though he's made a small complaint about the added buttons they added on the grip, that it gets in the way and makes it less comfortable to hold. The PC picks up the controller fine, but it picks it up as an Xbox One controller, not an Xbox Series. That doesn't seem to make a difference though, at least that we know of. For the Mac. I'm running High Sierra since it's an older laptop. Mac will recognize it via the USB settings in System Preferences but there are no drivers. There is an open source third party driver "360Controller" you can find on Github to work with Xbox controllers. It has some third-party controller support, but the creator of the driver said PowerA will never work due to the way PowerA implements the functionality on the controller. Apple introduced official support for Xbox controllers in later releases of MacOS, but only for select official Xbox controllers. In short, definitely not MacOS friendly. Got a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Plugged this into my 2021 Fire HD 10 Tablet and brand new Pixel 6A Phone. The controller didn't even light up. No response. Googled the issue. It appears wired controllers, especially third party controllers like this are not going to work without additional accessories on Android devices. Bluetooth controllers only. I don't own an Xbox One or Xbox Series, but I do have an Xbox 360. Just to remove any doubt, this controller 100% does not work with an Xbox 360. I wasn't expecting it to, but tried anyway. I'll have to do more research to find a controller that is more cross-platform. UPDATE: After researching more, it appears Xbox Series consoles are backwards compatible with Xbox One controllers, but you can't use an Xbox Series controller like this on an Xbox One or older gen device. So I paid more money for a newer controller that has less usability than the cheaper older versions. It's a decent controller, but only if you're sticking to Windows or Xbox Series devices. PowerA should do something about this driver support. Update 2: (1+ year later). My brother bought me a $12 third party Switch/Xbox controller that supports Bluetooth, USB 2.4 ghz wireless and USB wired connections. It's rechargeable, supports gyro, has a higher build quality and can connect to all my devices without dealing with the obnoxious long wire. If you're a PC gamer, there's so many better and cheaper options if you're willing to look. ... show more
