We had bad vibration when the pads would get hot so I knew it was probably time to replace everything. When I took the (probably original) pads off, they were almost worn to the backing plate. One of the wear indicators was showing signs of rubbing the rotor but wasnt making any noise. I had to swap the wear indicator over to the new pads and bend it to make contact sooner. It's been about 2 months now with plenty of miles and trips on steep roads and hard braking with no signs of fade or vibration. Nice smooth stopping, even when pressed hard. I did a break in procedure as listed in the box, or as best I could. Be sure to take everything out of boxes and go over it. At first glance I didn't see any grease so I bought some. When doing the work I found a pack in the box. Update: 12/17/2024, it's been 7 months and over 9000 miles and the brakes are still wonderful. Quiet, smooth and firm. Still very happy with this purchase. Drove home an hour from a high school basketball game on a nearby mountain. Coming down on the way home and no fade, no issues at all. Ordered front pads and rotors for 2016 Highlander. They seem like very good quality and perfect fit. Only thing I didn't like was that the wear sensors that go on the pads are not included so I had to use the one's from the old ones. Not a big deal but why not include those? Apparently I got these on sale, reasonable price, as they have going up since my purchase, probably would not have bought at full price. ... show more

This time around, the rotors even arrived in sealed poly bags with NO oil on them - they didn't even need a rinse with brake cleaner. Quick break-in. I've used Powerstop a couple of times before and love the rotors and ceramic pads.
