I cannot say enough about these brakes and the customer service at Powerstop. I needed to order a new set of brakes for my wife’s car and I came across these on amazon. I did some quick reviews and decided to purchase the Z23 line. My wife can have a little of a lead foot so I went with the upgrade. They are sure worth every penny. The brakes shipped very quickly and arrived well packaged. Everything needed was included and great quality. Then I ran into a major hang up that stopped me in my tracks! As I was starting to install, I got the calipers and pads off the brakes and I noticed something was different with the brakes. The new pads were a totally different shape and knew they were not going to fit. As frustrated as I was, I put the old set back on and was going to give powerstop a piece of my mind thinking they sent me the wrong parts. I called powerstop and spoke with them about the issue. During the conversation we came to the realization that there are two different styles of brakes for the same year and model car. I had ordered the wrong set! After I knew I had made the mistake and ordered the wrong set, I was worried about the cost to ship a 70 pound return back. Powerstop graciously said they would ship me the right set and sent a return label for the wrong set. I was so grateful for them correcting my mistake. Once I got the correct brakes for the car, they installed perfectly. They sound and feel solid! The wife and kids are definitely safe with these beefy brakes! Received items but I don’t check packaging before ripping my car apart. Once I opened the boxes and found the front rotors and pads I went to work reinstalling them after one rotor was on and ready for break pads I realized they were wrong. Thinking they were the rear I opened the other box but there were only rotors no pads. The pads received were not for my application I had to run to the local store and just buy an entire new full set so I can finish the job. Going to have to return. They are awesome. The fit and finish is perfect for my 2013 Ford Explorer. I love the way they look - and most importantly - they stop quickly with zero noise. (I've had them on for 2 months now. I was overall satisfied with this product. However, be very careful which kit you actually order. I had a terrible experience with getting the wrong size kit that was supposed to fit my vehicle. I wasted $500 and a full day of labor, when the brakes turned out to be the smaller of two sizes offered for my vehicle. Pay attention to the measurements on the item description. ... show more

Roughly a month into using these rotors and pads on all four corners of my '12 Ford Taurus and I can say that I am not disappointed at all. The performance is amazing. Easily the best braking I've had on any vehicle I've owned or driven. When called on they stop the car. Hot or cold it stops amazingly well. Though I really think it stops better when there is some heat in the system. Night and day difference over the stock (autoparts store replacement) rotors and pads I took off. Even high speed slowing of the vehicle is amazing. For instance the 70-20 slow downs on the freeway. The only drawback is there is a squeak under light brake pressure while reversing down my driveway. That isn't something that is a problem for me though. ... show more

    • poor rotor quality
I installed these brakes a little over a year and about 7000 miles ago. The kit was complete and fit correctly. However, from the start they were somewhat noisy (a slight grinding noise when braking). More importantly i noticed soon after that they cause the car to shudder which slowing from high speed (65 or 75 mph). I tolerated this problem until now when I needed to get new tires. I had the tire company look at the brakes. They state that rotors are rough and have too much run out. Their technician said that they have seen this problem before with powerstop brand rotors - even out of the box. The powerstop warranty is only 3 months. So, I am not going to bother with pursuing satisfaction with them. I will have them turned and get a different brand in the future. I noticed that EBC offer as 12000 mile waranty. So that may be a better option to look at. ... show more
