    • This kit will not fit a 2018 Chev. Sonic LT
I contacted Power Stop about the brake pads supplied with this kit not fitting. The Power Stop technician advised that the number on the pads were the correct pads to fit the 2018 Chevrolet Sonic LT. The technician advised to contact Customer Service for further assistance. I contacted Customer Service only to be advised that I then needed to forward an email detailing the problem with the pads. After supplying a detailed email outling the problem with the brake pads in this kit, I was notified by email from Power Stop that there was a catalog error and that the pads supplied with the kit were incorrect. Further that the brake pads that should fit the Sonic were being developed but not due for production until Feb/2020. I requested a refund and return of the brake kit to Amazon and was very promptly able to return the kit by UPS and a refund was returned to my credit card. A correction should be made to the listing of Power Stop Kit K5550 will not fit the 2018 Chev Sonic LT due to incorrect brake pads. ... show more

    • Strong product with great value
I have been working on cars for 25 years. I have been doing brakes just as long. I have bought a lot of brands over the years. Besides stopping power the one thing I am looking for is for the brakes not to rust and still look good. Nothing gets more more excited about a car besides a fresh oil change then new brakes. Every single brake rotor, drum, or caliper I have purchased has started to rust within the first couple rain falls. Even though a lot of the brakes still work great they look like crap with rust on them. What is the point of having a nice waxed car, with waxed rims, and then boom....rusty rotors or calipers. So this time I was looking for a combo value. Purchasing pads and rotors by themselves will cost you more money. So I decided to give these a try. And I can tell you what a difference. A average driver may not know unless they are replacing really bad pads and rotors. But even with barely any wear on both from a car I bought just 10 months ago that barely had wear, these are very fun. I have had these for about 4-5 months. Zero brake dust and no rust. Of course there is rust around where the pad meets the rotor. But the nice zinc protection around the rest of the rotor still looks brand new. Brakes are super quiet.     • Never pay someone else to change your breaks ever again!
I ordered these for my Chevy sonic. Here's some notes about the package and how great this company is: 1. The pieces fit PERFECTLY on my Sonic and look fantastic. Slotted and holed rotors on a car of that size are laregly for show (let's all be honest here) but they have a great fit and sturdy construction. But that's just the tip of the ice berg. 2. The pads are fantastic (I went for ceramic) and are noise free compared to the organometallics that came stock on my machine and would squeal in the rain. I would say that the stopping power is just slightly more responsive if anything--but the biggest factor is how quiet they are. 3. This box set comes with everything that you'll need including lubrication, and fittings. 4. Yes, the pads come with a metal clip notice that will scrape the rotor when you need to change breaks. While that's often a given, it wasn't explicitly clear anywhere, so there you go. 5. I contacted customer service at Power Stop and they sent me complimentary decals (a fist full of them!) for free. They're really a great company that puts out quality stuff. I'm glad I'll never need to pay someone else to change my breaks ever again--and this will be my go to vendor! ... show more

It came the day it said it was supposed to. I was very pleased with how everything looked quality wise. Once I had all the right tools (no power impact drivers) it went very smooth. This was only my second time changing front rotors and brake pads. If I can do it so can you. Be sure to apply the included anti seize to all the essential parts. Once the wheels are back and on and before you drive off, be sure to apply the brakes several times until you feel the pressure. After that I took my 2014 Chevy Cruze around the block a few times to test it out. Very pleased. I will post another review after a few trips to work and back. About 50 miles a day. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy thinking on the quality parts i could get online for this price. Let me tell you, it was the best decision i made. Easy to install. Quality had exceeded my expectation. Performance has exceeded original factory brakes. It has given the best stop performance and great look to the wheel. Shorter, smooth and quiet stop every time. Have used for about 3,000 miles by now and they are not leaving black dust on the rims. Priced just right! Brick and mortar auto suppliers stores where way higher in price on the research i made. My wife's car really needed better rotors and pads... these were a 100% improvement over the generic pads and rotors I installed 20k miles back. Never knew I could pay for installation on Amazon, and when it was offered for a very reasonable price, I went for it. The parts were shipped to a Sears Service Center that I selected near me.
