    • Front Pads Too Big Despite Claims That These Were a Complete Set Matched To Our Rav4
First, delivery of the product was late. Now, when I'm installing the rotors and pads, I learn that the front brake pads do not fit (too long) despite the fact that the product selector indicated that these were the correct choice for our 2008 RAV4. The rotor appears to be OK. I don't know about the rear brakes yet because I started in the front. Now, I have to go get a set of pads for the front wheels from a local store. I'll update later when I get to the rear brakes. Right now, I'm pretty disappointed all around on delivery and fit. ... show more

    • Good fit for 2010 Rav4 V6
I've seen a few reviews stating that the rotor is too thick and the calipers with the new pads won't fit. The hardest part of this job for me was getting the calipers with the new pads to fit over the new rotor, but it does fit. First make sure the piston on the caliper is fully seated back into the housing, i just used the old pads with a C-clamp to push the piston back, second, make sure the pads are correctly positioned and seated as far apart as possible. Third, i found it easier to place the caliper on starting from the top where the pads have a slope and the ease the rest of the caliper into place. I did this job yesterday on my wife's 2010 Rav4 V6 on all 4 wheels and it took about 5 hours. Overall very good quality brakes. I would highly recommend buying some penetrating fluid, brake parts cleaner and some brake parts lubricant because they don't give you enough in the box. ... show more

I was worried about the thickness of the rotors but if you go to their website they provide the thickness of the rotors. For my 2011 Rav4 Limited V6 they were the same thickness as the original. Included are all the clips for the pads and the caliper bolt boots. Nothing different about the install as any other brake set. The "break in" instruction were a surprise. I had to find a road to be able to preform these procedures. I have attached pictures of the "break in" procedures and the rotors next to the original rotors. Braking felt a bit off at first but after the "break in" procedures and a week of normal driving they are working perfect. This car is not my daily driver so I don't know if the braking is better then the original braking but I think it is. The braking on this car has always been a bit soft and seemed to take too much effort/time to come to a complete stop. Now it stops like it always should have. ... show more
