These brakes are worse than the worn Duralasts that they replaced. So much so these are down right dangerous. The brake fade is so bad that you get one and I mean one use before your pedal begins to fade. Mountains? No way! DO NOT attempt!!! I got three stops then my brakes were 100% non-existent.     • Overall I'm very pleased. Quality and finish is outstanding on everything in this kit.
I have a very well kept 2004 GMC Sierra crew cab configuration. I've never liked the brake feel on this truck. The brakes feel soft and you really have to put your foot down to get any real stopping power. It was time for a brake job and for just a little more money than any other OEM replacement type of rotor and brake pads I figured I would try something like this to see if I could get better stopping power and feel. I will say with honestly that I don't see much difference in power or feel. They are super smooth and quiet and I think they give me a little more stopping power but not much. It seems like after they've gotten hot and you've done a few good stops, they grip a little better. Overall, slight improvement in stopping ability but pedal feel is still bad. Probably this truck, no fault to this product. Overall I'm very pleased. Quality and finish is outstanding on everything in this kit. Everything feels like new again! Curious if I can get anyone to turn these rotors when that time comes but I plan to buy another kit from this company for my car! ... show more

    • Poor quality control
First the packaging the product arrived in was beat up, crushed and torn. That could have been on the carrier. Secondly the rubber bushings were in the opposite brake pad box than they should have been. I didn't replace them because I thought it was a mistake all together until I took off the other wheel. By then it was too late and I wasn't going to disassemble the first wheel again. Thirdly, one of the brake pads was too long and I had to file it to fit.     • Great brakes.
The brakes hold up really well especially for trailering or hauling. The only thing I've noticed is their calipers have just a tiny amount of grease on the pins. I had three different vehicles that I put Powerstop calipers on and all three of them had the calipers bind up because the pins were almost completely dry. So of course when that happened it ate up the inside pads and the rotors. Not happy. The other vehicles I recently put them on I have had people bring g them back in and I greased all of the caliper pins. Powerstop needs to fix this ASAP! ... show more

Simply amazing stopping power . Much better then oem . I installed with the gm calipers and was better then new brakes there red calipers to my surprise not so good , they look great but the quality is lacking on there calipers , if not from the misaligned screw hole in there aluminum calipers to the scraps in there paint to where the brake hose connects is not a smooth but bumpy . I mean all calipers even the cheepo calipers are a smooth , but power stops aluminum calipers for my truck are like left over metal from the mold not smoothed out, like unfinished metal. Also the aluminum there using is to soft and even with a working no leak connection the brake line it winds up coming loose over time , one caliper seemed almost pre stripped and could not stop the leaking , had to return them. now there front calipers are not aluminum and work great. In the end the stopping power from just this kit using oem caliper. The brakes have never been so good . I am extremely happy with this purchase . Really when i consider how good these work for there price you cant go wrong, very happy if your not sure if this fits your vehicle go to there web site and make sure cause there to to friendly with returns. choose the make and model of your car or truck it will tell you whats compatible and can be used with your vehicle go hear, just click the link and or copy past it and scroll down to "SELECT YOUR VEHICLE" http://www.powerstop.com/products/ UPDATE ==================================================================================================================================== amazing these brakes get better over time, still working great in fact i had to replace all the brake stainless steel brake lines from front to back , all of them. just purchased a acdelco brake line kit for my truck, all brake lines pre bent and direct replacement. no cutting bending or finding the right nuts, its all pre assembled and direct fit. whats nice is the acdelco replacement brake lines are maid to never rust. they look to be a try ply and look like copper inside. yet much more firm then the try plys brake lines available at the local auto parts stores. i not going into why gm brake lines rust so much and many having problems and why the acdelco brake lines wont and only cost me $60 for the kit for all brake lines. what a job to do getting them in the brake holders and replacing the rear lines a pain but now i can stop a 2003 gmc yukon xl 1500 at 60 miles a hours in around and under 20 feet, With out the anti lock brake activating, Even though the anti lock brakes are much more sensitive now and with out the truck taking a nose dive. have not tested that just happened at a stop light and everyone looked at me in amazement that even the Honda's where nose diving and not stopping as fast. not me it didn't even spill the coffee . amazing and very happy with this product ... show more

Installed on my Escalade ESV. These are the best brakes I've had to date. I've got about 5k miles on them and it still brings a smile to my face when I need to brake hard and the truck actually stops properly. I've been searching for good brakes for years.
