These brakes and rotors started out fine. I have had cross drilled rotors before and are used to some noise from them. Although slowly after use, I would say 1000 miles, they started to slightly vibrate as I slowed down. Now they are so bad that I have to replace them after 7k miles. The pad life is great, but the rotors are horrible. Seems like a waste of money. ... show more

    • Rotors warped after 7000 miles
Brake and rotors started out fine and after 7000 miles started to get a slight shake and over time it got worse so I took it to a shop to find out the rotors are warped I got about 10,000 miles give or take.

My rotors fit like a glove some people were saying the retention screw did not line up but on my 09 Mercury it was a perfect fit I followed the break in procedure on the pads and I have great stopping ability that is totally noiseless...great buy for the money

The brake kit came with all the necessary hardware to complete the job which is a plus. The issue I have now is how noisy the brakes are when I’m coming to a stop. I don’t know if it’s from the slotting or cross drilling, but it is very noisy. Other than that the brakes work as they should.

    • piston shim slid down on outside pad and is riding on rotor cap.
I don't like to do jobs twice. This one is going to require disassembly and a fix for the shim. Brakes work well enough and the rotors are staying true. Just the pad issue on one wheel.

Excellent kit... much better than the original rotors. Easy to install, all the clips and parts needed for my particular car were included. It took me a couple of hours to do both wheels because I'm not a specialist, but it's an easy job and the only special tool you'll need is a piston spreader, I paid 7 bucks at my local auto part shop. Did the recommended procedure after install and all in all my braking is better, with a smoother and faster response. Highly recommended. ... show more
