I had EBC slotted and dimpled rotors for several years with another well known brand of pads. Either Wagner or Raybestos. I can’t remember which. They always had very poor cold stopping power. The pads we’re wearing and sticking to the rotors filling the dimples and slots and making them very rough. I put the Power Stop rotors and pads on, broke them in following the instructions exactly and they work very well. The truck stops smoothly with no noise and they work well cold. Update: I’ve had to make a few very hard stops in heavy traffic. These brakes grab so well they keep my tires on the fine edge between lock up and rolling. They never worked that well before.     • Double check these fit your vehicle. Other than that, they are a great upgrade.
We purchased this kit and it arrived quickly. We ordered these for our 2005 Silverado SS and they fit perfectly. But, you should always check the manufacturer's website fitment page to make sure. We checked before purchasing, so were confident that the parts would fit. Most of the problems we saw on the reviews were because they didn't fit the vehicle they were ordered for. If you have a Silverado with rear drums, it is important that you check with the manufacturer's website to be sure you are getting the correct ones. We installed it and everything fit correctly and followed the break in procedure and these brakes work great. It is important that you follow the break in procedure correctly. Having dealt with ceramic brakes before, we knew how critical it is, so were careful to follow the correct procedure. The kit comes with the glides, boots, pads and the proper grease for the bolts. But be aware that if you are going to replace the boots on your caliper bolts, you will want the correct tool to install them, to prevent tearing the boot. It is possible to use a deep socket of the correct diameter, but some parts stores might rent the correct tool to install them. These work great. Fit on my 2002 GMC Yukon Denali perfectly. The pads require a break in, but came with instructions. Follow them to a “T” and you won’t have any issues. It has been nice to have quality breaks on the truck for a reasonable cost. It’s also nice not having my wheels turn black from break dust. If they made these for my other vehicles, I would have already bought them. ... show more

    • Always clean break rotors with break cleaner.
So far so good breaks stop nice they are heavy duty, I’ll change review if they end up garbage etc. but I’m sure they will be fine. Updating review, I had issues with these or thought I did, my vehicle developed a shutter while stopping I thought for certain it was power stops break rotors warped but upon buying some other new ones from Detroit axle my vehicle did the same thing. It did it after the breaks warm up it don’t stop right. Well I found out by investigating the rear rotors I replaced a year ago but they are just the half inch thick metal for the rest no cooling fins, so the new ones they sell now have cooling fins so they can breathe so I’m guessing people had problems with them because the old style didn’t have the fins now they do it seems. So upon further review I’m pretty sure the rear rotors are warped and power stops stuff is fine given I bought a set from Detroit axle and it acts weird as well. However I don’t like power stops customer service they didn’t seem helpful and seemed to just tell me my calipers are bad and probably warped there rotors instead of investigating snd trouble shooting with me. Maybe I could’ve had less headaches if they had better customer service. I gave them a bad review abs now changing it. ... show more

Strange issue they seem to have a reverse Fade? When they (the pads) are cold they don't grab as well? When I drive a while and let the brakes warm up they grab better than the stock brakes? I was towing a 8'x12' uhaul and found this is worse when I have a heavier load on my Yukon! It's borderline dangerous but manageable when aware of it! I think it's the Ceramic Carbon pads!? I have to try putting the straight Ceramic pads on to see if this unusual phenomenon goes away will update review on my findings. ... show more

I have a 2005 chevy suburban Z71. Everything fit perfectly. I didn't have to go to the parts store for anything. Everything to change front brakes and rotors come in this kit. The rotors look awesome and well made. The break in is not to bad when you read the box for the brakes it sounds like a nightmare. I found a Dead Road at 10 and took about 5 minutes. I can almost stop on a dime if I need to. I would definitely buy these again. Kit came with both front rotors and a total of four brake pads for the front and all clamps and Greece. ... show more

    • Very high quality and seem.very well made.
Seems like quality parts, have not had the chance to install them yet. Will update once I do get them installed. Finally installed the front rotors and pads and broke them in as instructed. Was very impressed because the stock rotors had warped and vibrated very bad when braking. I've had them on my 2004 Silverado for about 6 months now and unfortunately now they have warped and are now vibrating when I apply the brakes. Going to contact Powerstop and see what can be done about the warping. Not sure if the rotors can be turned because of the slotted and cross drilled rotors. Had been very happy with them up to this point. Was hoping that the slotted and cross drilling would keep the heat down enough to keep the rotors from warping. Also I don't tow anything with my truck and I don't drive it daily. May have put at the most 6,000 miles on the new rotors and pads so I'm at a loss as to why the would already be warped. ... show more
