They came in looking nice and shiny but after 3 months they’re still just as shiny. I was looking throughout for new brakes for my 04 Prius and these came in well under the other rotors I had looked at. The installation is super simple, slide off old and put on new. The price was great and the product is too. I don't know how much the coating matters. Seems more like marketing than function to me. Still, the rotors were as thick as stock and true. The pads fit perfect and are silent. It did come with the shims and grease for the back of the pads, so that was a nice thing. Stopping is power is as expected. My old ones were on for 140k miles and I expect the same from these. Tip: You may have to loosen your lug nuts a couple turns and lower your jack to get the wheel to break free. Mine were stuck on the hub and wouldn't move. Then I took a hammer and hit the old rotors to get them to break free, after removing the caliper. 140k miles is a long time and they had rusted to the hub. Even penetrating oil didn't do anything. The old rotors were no being reused, so it was the easiest method. ... show more

Heard good reviews about power stop brand and especially their evolution coated rotors. Install took about 2 hours for a 2005 Toyota Prius (Really straight forward). The instructions mentioned to perform 30 decelerations from 30mph to 5mph without making a complete stop. This is to ensure an even layer of ceramic braking material is coated on the rotors. After 20 mins of driving the rotors and pads were properly broken in. The brakes feel nice and no squeaking or scraping were heard after the install. Will update review if anything changes.
