    • A great seed and fertilizer spreader for small to medium sized areas, and for irregular spaces.
I have a larger yard with lots of places where trees were in the past, which tends to cause sink holes over time. So I am constantly tilling up areas and reseeding. I have a small tractor, with a tiller and seed bed roller, so the actual final grading and seeding/fertilizing are the only tasks that are more onerous and not in the air conditioning of the tractor. Final touch up grading will continue to be manual until my tractor skills improve. Since I had Dewalt batteries, I chose this spreader over several others. It does a great job of spreading the seed and fertilizer both for a distance and evenly. I would say it sends the grass seed 5 or 6 feet, with no wind, and the fertilizer more like 10 -12 feet due to its greater weight. It is much easier to broadcast both with this versus doing it by hand. I could use a push seeder/fertilizer, but I always seem to be doing oddly shaped areas, so this works best. The bin on this holds probably 4 or 5 lbs. of grass seed, and 8 to 10 lbs. of fertilizer. It is about the correct amount to not make your arm too sore, balanced with filling it up too often. I have an einhell spreader and thought I’d give this one a try because it took Dewalt batteries. It looks and feels like the Einhell right down to the metal trap door and plastic molded features. Where it differs from the Einhell is the motor. The Einhell motor is louder and feels stronger but this did not translate into any discernible difference in actual performance. They both seem to shoot about the same distance. The fit and finish may be similar but slightly better on the Einhell. The trap door on the Rozlchar is a bit sticky...may get better with time. Will the Rozlchar last as long as the Einhell? Probably not because of what I believe to be an inferior motor but, time will tell ... show more

I didn’t want a manual unit, and I ran across this spreader while searching for a powered one. I already have DeWalt batteries. Seems well constructed, should hold up fine for home use. I did have a problem where it wouldn’t start at the minimum speed, but I could make it work by turning it up and then down again. Used it to spread some pest repellent around my property and did exactly what I needed it to. ... show more

This spreader works well. I like it, but the seller was not able to tell me if this product is covered by manufacturer warranty. The user manual that comes with the product does not mention anything about warranty. After few times contacting the seller through Amazon he said that he will support one year warranty, but I do not believe it because Amazon policy is 30 days and after that the seller can ignore you or change his seller profile to another name. I didn't realize it didn't have connections. So pretty much worthless but it looks like the picture. Sent it back because we couldn't find the right charger to fit.
