Man this attachment works great. No it is not a conventional chain saw so it won't replace that but works wonders on limbs. Been using a sawzall, and ladder, for years but finally broke down and purchased one of these. Time saver! Does run a bit heavy so make sure you are prepared. Wear safety glasses, obviously, to keep the shavings out of yer eyes. Pull the trigger. You won't be dissapointed. Shall I say more? Great product from ECHO. I wish I had bought the more powerful (hard to find in stores) power head but the 21.2 cc does just fine. Great product for clearing brush with 3-4 inch bases where you can't quite get in there with the chainsaw. Low limbs? It's long enough to lift up and get most low hanging limbs at the base. This attachment is almost 5 feet by itself, I use it with the 3 foot extension, but it's enough to clear low hanging branches without it.

Seems as if trimming small branches on larger trees up to about 10‘ seems to be a sweet spot for trims that last about 5 years in my neck if the woods - trimming to keep low hanging branches from hitting my head on a large riding mower. To do that I purchased the matching extension. It makes the trimmer more difficult to handle but it really completes the job. ... show more

What a workout! Wasn't supposed to have this until Tuesday, it's Saturday, 3 days early. Wow am I fat and out of shape, went crazy on the overhanging branches in my yard. Made short work of it. Now I gotta mess to clean and a soon to get extra extension.
