The chair is adjustable and features a cozy adjustable headrest, soothing heat, a fairly decent (think more vibrate) massage function, and the lift to stand function which helps him rise to a near-standing position with ease. The cushions strike the perfect balance between firmness and comfort (I have sat in it for a few hours and I’m 6’1” 230). Assembling it was a breeze, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality for the price. The only minor downside is that extending the footrest and rising can take a little longer than he’d prefer, but overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase. This high quality recliner lift chair is very comfortable! Massage and heat works wonderfully! The instructions are inside the arm pocket for those who buy this chair. Very easy to put together, but very heavy to lift, you may need 2 people to bring inside the house. The color I purchased was chocolate brown, but it's more of a dark green with brown splotches. I guess it depends on how the light hits it, but I'm still very happy with it. This chair is more for short people, as someone who's tall, their head and feet would hang off the top and bottom of the foot rest in a reclining position. I'm 5'2 and it's perfect for me. I've got plenty of head room left and plenty of foot room left. The material is very velvety soft, seat cushioning is very wide and supple. Plenty of room for sitting, in fact I've got plenty of room left over! You also can position the foot rest to your likening. I am absolutely thrilled with my new recliner lift chair! ... show more

Update - thanks to a manager at Amazon, they did a one time courtesy & refunded me the money for this zero quality item, especially that I wasn't even able to contact the seller! So much for standing behind their product! My opinion in the product doesn't change! I've been trying to return this recliner for 2 months now & they're requiring a box for the return not understanding that a box that big doesn't get sold in stores. I've tried calling Amazon multiple times, been hung up on after the associate is unable to help me & they don't know what to do so they just hang up as if the call got disconnected. Called again & spent over an hour most of it trying to explain to the supervisor what a recliner is and that I cannot purchase a box. I had to explain again that the chair makes extreme noise when reclining or closing and that I have been wanting to purchase a recliner for the nursery for months. I saw this chair (same exact one) on a a different website and the reviews were amazing so I decided to purchase it through Amazon since I can get some rewards through my prime account. However I was disappointed with jt. The mechanism on it is not as expected, the chair looks great but the massager is loud, like super noisy & can't use it while trying to put my baby to sleep! I haven't tried the hear part so I can't review that yet but I'm hoping it's not as bad. Also the chair takes up too much space to recline, unlike the recliners I have in my living room. Chair was delivered early, easy to move in 3 different boxes, and easy assembly. It is very comfortable and wide. Lift is amazingly high, vibration and heat work perfectly, it is quite and doesn't disturb tv volume. The one issue is the head rest does not provide enough support, causing neck pain. I'm so glad I took a chance and ordered this for my Dad. It's a fantastic chair. It has a nice big seat to hold his large frame comfortably, the fabric is soft and a lovely deep brown color. The remote control for the massage and heat is a bit hard to read, but those were bonus features for him. The reclining function and raising function both work perfectly. It came in 4 pieces, and was easy enough to slot together -- however, there were no instructions in the boxes. It's obvious how to connect the pieces, though -- it was black cord to black cord, white cord to white cord -- so I did not miss the instructions. It arrived a full week before we expected it. No comments on longevity, since he's only been using it a few days, but comfort and function get 5 stars. ... show more
