I feel like I have so many jobs in the house and charging the camera. Batteries is just another frustration of some thing I need to stay on top of as it deals with security.. So glad to find these nice long cords that fit perfectly into the back of the SimpliSafe camera and plug into outdoor outlets Or indoor outlets. For once, I am glad to have gotten these right out the gate. Our last cameras were the Ring Ones and I found myself checking in charging those constantly. Give yourself a break and just get Yourself a cord for your cameras. Done!

This cord works perfectly with my Simplisafe Outdoor Camera. I actually like it better than the cord offered by Simplisafe. This cord is flat and much more flexible for easier installation. And like the Simplisafe cord, it also has the water-tight fitting when plugging it into the back of the camera. With the camera now plugged into a power source, I can use the spotlight option without worrying about the battery charge being depleted.

I actually believed the Simplisafe claim that the camera battery would last 1-2 months. I even bought an extra battery. Wrong. I live on a relatively quiet suburban street, adjusted the camera carefully, and so far the average battery lasts 5 DAYS. This UYODM unit is a no-brainer. The weather resistent connection fit well, and while I did not need all 25' of cable, I might someday if I move the camera. The part that is pure genius is that the USB cable is FLAT. Give yourself enough slack, work carefully, and most windows will close with the cable run underneat the lower sash. Brilliant. I just installed it today, so if it conks out in a few months I can't retract the review -- but from what I've seen so far, that won't be an issue. WELL DONE to UYODM
