I surf every day and wanted a surf specific hanger for my wetsuit/booties combo to help with longevity in the shoulders, and a better drying method for the boots. With a price point of $40 I thought this would be a high quality product with sturdy materials but I was horribly wrong. The plastic is flimsy, and the hook snapped in half right after my return window closed. I'd guess it gave out from the weight of a soaked wetsuit every day for about 5 weeks straight. Also, the fabric used to attach the hook to the rest of the hangar is low grade material, as is the clasp and it routinely would get loose and nearly come apart. Save your money, this is not a good product.

I understand that a huge part of the appeal with this hanger to many divers is the fact that it can fold, and it does do that well. It's great for travel, as it won't take up a bunch of space in its functional form. That said, I would personally prefer the folding mechanism be removed, with more stability and durability added in lieu of the travel perks. This hanger feels so flimsy, thin and bendable that I get nervous hanging my expensive wetsuit on it, and that's after the wetsuit has dried. I feel like a wet wetsuit would be too heavy for it and snap it into pieces. I could be totally wrong, but nonetheless, the way this hanger bends and moves makes me way too nervous for comfort.

I ordered this wetsuit hanger for my husband to use on a recent dive trip. I thought it was nice for travel since it can fold flat and takes up little space in a suitcase. I could see him using it to hang his gear in the shower at the hotel in between dive days. He ended up not taking it on the trip b/c he thought it seemed flimsy and he didn't have much room left to put it in his bag (which was more like a duffle and could leave the item exposed to breaking if the bag was thrown too hard). He did, however, use it when he returned to hang his wetsuit outside after he washed it at home. It held up well and worked for its purpose. We hang out wetsuits in a spare closet, so this is also easily stored in that closet with the suit still hanging! I would recommend for a back-up option or for travel where it can be secured in a hard bag for transit.

This dry suit hanger lets you effectively hang your suit up after a day in the water to dry out. The suit fits on it nicely and will help keep it from retaining water and developing mold. It is easily packable and can be stowed when not in use.

This is a super handy product for keeping your scuba accessories organized while drying. I appreciate the design and the fact that it's foldable for travel. The plastic seems somewhat sturdy, but like others I question whether it's appropriate for drying a full wetsuit. Firstly, because anything heavier than a wet 3mm shorty would probably be too heavy and difficult to feed through the hanger, and secondly because it requires your wetsuit to be creased while drying, which is generally not the best practice. Execution wise, this hanger is hard to fold again once you've opened it. The snaps seemed secure, but trying to undo them hurts my fingers and makes me worry the plastic will break. I think this is a good solution for boots gloves, hoods, and perhaps vests, but I won't be using it for my full suit.

Overall im happy with this . It really addresses specific needs we have when it comes to drying booties and gloves . Its hook on the end makes it very versatile. I know how you card for neoprene can either extend the life of your gear or shorten it . We have kids and tend to invest in the quality of the gear we get them because we want them comfortable and safe . It helps that the youngest gets all the stuff that survives from the 2nd oldest and the 2nd oldest gets the oldest gear and the oldest gets my stuff usually before it’s been worn by me . It’s a moms life. I try to take care of the gear we have so it lasts and is in good condition while we have it . This has been a big help , it lets the booties dry without having the typical everything dry but the toes . The gloves too . I think we probably need at least another 2-3 more of these . Family of 5 plus grandpa . Right now Iv got cycling gear drying on it . We used it while visiting our oldest in Florida not long ago . It folded up and traveled well in our dive bag with all of our wetsuits and other gear . The only thing I didn’t like was the process of closing it to fold it down . I felt like I was going to break it even tho I was using a tiny flat head and being gentle . It did not break thankfully , I hope this lasts a very long time . I feel like it’s 4.5 star product and the -1/2 star for the difficulty taking it apart . I know I can’t give it a 4.5 star rating and I feel like 5 star rating is for perfect items . Overall I would recommend for sure to anybody that has wetsuits and gear like snow gloves and wool socks .
