After a decade of owning the same Rachael Ray pan set, I decided it was time to get a new one since my old ones were all scratched up. I was a little hesitant about the wood handles on these, but decided to give them a try based on other reviews. I am very happy with these for a few reasons. First, when I opened the box and assembled them all, I realized that I was missing two of the wooden handles. I contacted the seller for a replacement, and within 24 hours, I had a whole new set on my doorstep! They were super fast about sending out the second set! It took 5-10 minutes to attach all of the handles the proper way, so not bad at all. I've been able to cook with them a few times already, and I am very happy with the even heat distribution. The directions say not to leave them soaking for long and not to store food in them to prevent staining, so the first time I cooked a red pasta sauce in one of them, I was nervous about staining. However, there was zero staining on them after washing! They are heavy enough that you'll know they're made from quality materials, but not so incredibly heavy that they're impossible to hold easily when straining liquids and whatnot! My favorite thing about them, though, is how sleek and pretty they are! I haven't cooked eggs in them yet, which is the best way to test how sticky or non-stick they are, but nothing I have cooked so far has stuck to the bottoms of the pans at all! ... show more

You get a lot for a relatively inexpensive price, which obviously makes one wonder about the quality of the pots and pans here. So far, I’m happy with them, but I have no idea how I’ll feel a year from now after a significant amount of use. Everything looks and feels nice out of the box. The pans are aluminum and thus fairly light, which can be both a plus and a minus. The coating is non-stick. I’m not sure how one creates a granite coating, but that’s what they call it. These are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash only. The handles look like wood, but they are actually made of bakelite, which is a good insulator, thus less likely to get hot to the touch. These pans are fine for any kind of stove, but I don’t see any mention of being oven safe, so probably best to avoid that. There is assembly required as all of the handles needed to be bolted on, but it’s not particularly difficult to do so. To put the handles on the lids, they include the bolt plus a metal washer and a plastic washer. It’s not clear from the instructions how to put these all together, but I think you put the plastic washer into the hole from the bottom side as opposed to on top between the glass and handle, and then the metal washer over that, and the bolt through both, into the lid. ... show more

These are great for a starter or dorm set. These are not the greatest quality cookware. We have have 1 pot that cost more than this entire set, but these are A LOT BETTER than the cost suggests!. We have used these to cookmany items and have been very impressed. So far we have not experienced any hot spots or inconsistent cooking rates. THese have been very easy to clean thus far and have not stained when cooking with tomato sauce. The color is a very neutral color and the wood toned handles make it very attractive but leads to the only real fault of this set. They take up space in storage as they do not nestle together. The cost effectiveness of this set is what sets this set apart. Only time will tell how durable, but I would be shocked if they didn't last a long while. ... show more
