  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for coaching!
Color: Rose Size: 6
I got these pants in rose for coaching figure skating outside in NYC (temp ranges from 5°C ~ 15°C, 23°F ~ 59°F) it’s definitely one of my best investments. I had to triangulate the sizing a little (I’m 5’5”, ~135lbs, usually wear 4 in pants and 6 in dresses, got a 6 Regular) so I’m glad I read the reviews. POSITIVES Color: Lovely! Not too bright but not too muted. Makes me stand out from the other coaches so my skaters can see me from afar. Pockets: The small pocket is great for keys/chapstick, the front pockets fit my phone (in its wallet case!) and bingo dabbers/markers/pens with ease, and the expandable bottoms are perfect for covering the laces of my boots. Sizing: There is enough space for me to wear leggings underneath, but I don’t always need to since the pants are pretty good windbreakers. Material: I can model falling down and getting back up without worrying about getting wet, which is great for teaching Basic 1! The different texture around the knee also makes it easier to get up from the ice. The pants are flexible enough for my frame that I don’t feel like I’m stretching them when moving my legs around. POSSIBLE NEGATIVES (Depending on your intended usage) Button: The button stitching came undone within 3 months of use (wearing the pants 3x a week for a few hours at a time), but I caught it before it dropped so was able to reinforce the stitching no problem. If you think you’ll get a lot of active use out of these pants I’d recommend checking on the stitching regularly. Hip/Waist fit: The pants fall a little low on my waist (most relevant when bending over), and do have belt loops but I don’t like wearing a belt because it restricts my upper body movement. I never feel like they’re coming off, but if you want something that fits closely around the waist/doesn’t have space at the crotch, these might not be for you. Ankle fit: These are a little wide at the bottom, even when the expandable bottoms are zipped up. They fit in wide boots easily, but could get caught behind the heel if you wear low-tops/have shorter legs. Not an issue for me (since I'm using them for skates) but could be depending on the kind of shoes you want to wear with them. Material: I’m not sure how flexible these pants are if they aren’t a little wide on your leg, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend full-blown practicing freestyle in these, but I’ve gotten away with some sit spins and spirals. The material is water resistant but definitely not waterproof. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend for full coverage in heavy wet precipitation. OVERALL Love these. I’m definitely getting my money’s worth and recommending them to anyone else who coaches! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Warm and comfortable
Color: Black Size: 6
These pants are exactly what I was looking for. They're like ski pants. They are thick and warm. I will use them on a trip where I will be hiking around in cold weather. I'm usually a size 6 or 8. Ordered a size 8 so they would be comfortable. They are a little loose but that is what I wanted. Good quality fabric. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Very warm!!
Color: Grey Size: 8
The reviews I read before purchasing these work pants said that they run large, but I ordered my normal size anyway. They do run large, but if you plan on wearing layers under them, it's not a problem. You might need to wear a belt with the pants, but that's it. They are VERY WARM. I tend to get cold easily, but I was out planting trees in the rain and wind in 50 degree midwestern spring weather, and was sweating!! They are also very water resistant. I was kneeling on the wet ground for a decent amount of time in the mud while gardening, and my under layers never got damp. Another great feature about these pants are the many pockets that are all closeable with zippers, and have felt lining to warm up your hands if necessary. Definitely recommend if you're looking for warm work pants! They're great for early spring gardening, in my opinion. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST BUY
Color: Black Size: 2
I love these pants so much I bought 10 pairs 5 black and 5 grey. These pants totally keep the wind out. I love the zipper at the bottom of the pants so you can wear tight or loose. In addition these pants have great pocket space. They are also water resistant. I do however wish they had more color options such as navy and forrest green because I would buy them as well. Very well made product. I have washed these pants a number of times and they come out looking brand new. I have also tried the other brand Amazon sells which is a lot but nothing compares to the quality and comfort of these pants. Give these pants a purchase and I am positive you all won't regret your purchase. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Warm, Comfy, great length
5’8” and 120#, ordered the 4Tall first and returned because they were wearable but pretty baggy in the hips, got the 2Tall next (pictured) and fit snug but with room still to shimmy leggings underneath - I doubt I will need to though because these are VERY thick warm pants! I wish the pockets were along the lateral thighs instead of by the inner hips so I can sit with my phone in my pocket but that’s the bane of women’s clothing everywhere. Love how the legs are plenty long even though I’m tall, plus I can zip them open and back closed again to fit snug over my winter boots for deep snow hiking! Went up and down a snowy mountain in the U.P. and my socks and legs stayed nice and warm and dry. My mom loved these too for working outside in winter! They’re perfect except for no lateral pockets and they’re just a bit “boxy” on top, but I have a long coat to go over it. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Short is Standard
Color: Grey Size: 8 Short
I bought these pants in short because I'm short and most of the time short cuts fit me perfectly. These are longer than expected. But the pants are amazing quality can't wait to try them in the winter

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Warm and comfortable
Color: Grey Size: 16
I gained a lot of weight during menopause (menopause muffin) and couldn’t fit into any of my ski pants this year. A friend who heads a hiking group suggested these. I am 5’ 4” and around 190#s. I used the sizing chart to order size 22 which were at least a few sizes too large. I guessed based on the reviews that I would be around 14 or 16 so traded the 22s for a 16. 16 was still a little large but figuring I’d be wearing extra layers underneath I kept them. I’m thinking 14 would be better but any smaller than that would probably be too tight. I went on a ski trip and wore long johns and winter running tights underneath. The bottom of the pants do not fit over a ski boot. And even though the pants fit and were comfortable, they’d be more comfortable with a belt. They were warm and dry and easy to move around in. They would certainly be great for other winter activities and the price is very reasonable. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for snow hike
Color: Grey Size: 8
Ordered these for a trip to Utah and they were great for hiking in snow. The zipper on the leg made them fit easily over the outside of the snow boots. They were super comfy. Had to order a size down from my usual size (8) so they run big.
