  • Comfortable and flexibility not only for Skiing but for hiking as well
Size: 16 Tall Color: Sky Blue
These ski pants were fantastic for our hiking trip in Washington state! They kept me warm and dry through chilly mornings, light rain, and muddy trails. The fit was comfortable with enough flexibility for long hikes, and the material felt durable without being too bulky. I especially appreciated the pockets and how well they blocked the wind at higher elevations. Even though they’re designed for skiing, they worked perfectly for hiking and outdoor adventures. Definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Great pants for keeping warm outside in cold weather!
Size: 8 Short Color: Sky Blue
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pants. I haven’t gone skiing in them or done anything in the snow, but for keeping you warm, these pants are the bomb. I put the in even just to walk my 2 small dogs around the block because they stop and sniff so much that I get cold. #1 - Length: They come in short! It is sometimes very hard to shorten snow pants because of the layers of construction. Traditional ski pants have a lining with elastic that hugs the boot to keep snow out. As a sewist, I could probably take that apart to shorten, but it would be a bugger to do. These pants do not have that liner (so they are not traditional ski pants) and have a simple folded hem that could easily be adjusted further. I am 5’3” and the “short” length is perfect. My normal dress pants inseam is 29 1/2”. They would easily fit someone with an inseam 1” longer than mine. #2 - Fabric: The fleece backing makes these warm and comfortable at least down to 30 degrees without having to wear long johns. (And I am always cold.) It hasn’t yet gotten lower than 30 during the day where I live. The outside of the fabric is soft and can stand up to a fair amount of wind. The knees are reinforced but also have a dart so bending your knees isn’t problematic. In fact, I wore them on a 20 mile bike ride and they were just fine. (I did need to use a strap to keep them from grazing the chain and getting all greasy.) #3 - Sizing: I wear a size 8 (with not a lot of extra room but a 10 is too big) and these pants are pretty true to size, if not a bit in the roomy side. The sizing allows for an extra base layer if you need more warmth (but just a base layer, not a thick fleece). I have somewhat of a thick (nonexistent) waist, and the elastic waist on these pants means I can wear them comfortably. #4 - Features: I mostly use the hip pockets. They are sufficiently roomy for the usual things: hankie, a car or house key, ID, credit card, snack bar. There is also a narrow pocket in the right knee that would accommodate a hankie, a key, or something small. The 1 back pocket is a normal sized pocket. I don’t use it out of preference, not lack of usability. #5 - Comfort: These pants are comfortable enough that when I come in from my daily 3 mile walk, I end up forgetting I have snow pants on and keep them on for even a couple of hours. They aren’t quite as comfy as yoga pants, but not much is… One thing to be aware of is the ankle width. I don’t know that these would slide over a ski boot. If they would, it would be pretty tight (on the up side, it would keep the snow out). They are, however, sufficient for sliding over hiking boots or a normal snow boot, and would keep the snow out because they aren’t so wide that they would fit so loosely as to flop around. I like the narrower ankle because I use these for cycling in cool weather (40’s) and I can use a strap to keep them out of the chain and not have lots of fabric to deal with. In fact, I will be sewing up a spandex sleeve for this. Some people might be concerned about riding 20 miles and getting overheated, but that hasn’t been a problem. (Now my jacket is another story….) I haven’t yet washed them but I expect, based upon the fiber content, that they should wash just fine. I highly recommend these pants. (And no, I haven’t been given anything to say that.) Several times when my husband and I were out walking the dogs I have said “I love my new pants!” He is probably sick of me saying it. ... show more

  • Good for the money
Size: 6 Tall Color: Grey
Pretty nice pants, affordable price. Hard to find insulated waterproof women’s pants with stretch and no bulk. The lines knees are a huge plus - I work in landscaping in all weather and these are excellent. I have a 33” inseam and these are the PERFECT length! It’s almost impossible to find pants that are long enough for me. Flattering fit if you have some booty, if you don’t then it’s not that cute, but I doubt many people are buying these for style. Good flexibility, great water repellent, warm and comfortable. My only “complaint” is that the button closure is weak. A double clasp or some heavier stitching and fabric in the bottom area would be good. I know this button will fail sooner than later. The zipper is also flimsy, but these pants are pretty cheap so I can’t complain much. Zipper and button replacements are pretty cheap. ... show more

  • Great pants! Great value! Great pants! Great value!
Size: 8 Short Color: Black
I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a pair of pants that I am only wearing a week in Iceland. Not only was the price great, they worked perfectly for my trip. They are warm, soft, and comfortable. They kept me dry when going under the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Kept me warm when I went hiking on Vatnajökull (I did wear an extra thin layer underneath). Pants were perfect! Waist band was a little big. Could have used a belt. Pants were long. But the ‘short’ fit me perfectly. (Check the inseam length). ... show more

  • Double check sizing based on intended use but worth price
Size: 12 Short Color: Black
TL;DR: be aware sizing is odd, works well and is comfortable to wear, worth the money. Longer version: As many other reviews indicate, sizing is a bit odd. Based on sizing info in listing, I should have ordered 16-short but based on comments/reviews, I ordered 12-short and the fit is good. Waistband is a bit looser than desired but not quite to the point of needing a belt. I intended them to be worn either by themselves or with thinner pants (leggings, yoga pants, etc.) under them and the size I ordered allows me to do that. I haven’t tried but I don’t think that a pair of thicker pants (jeans) could be worn under the size I got (12-short) for my body so if you’re wanting that, take into account when ordering. Ultimately, comfortable to wear and allows good range of motion (I’ve used for hiking and manual snow management). Kept cold wind and moisture (snow, ice, freezing rain, sleet) out. Pockets are great too. Has held up to washing/drying well. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again when needed. ... show more

  • Great for coaching! Great for coaching!
Size: 6 Color: Rose
I got these pants in rose for coaching figure skating outside in NYC (temp ranges from 5°C ~ 15°C, 23°F ~ 59°F) it’s definitely one of my best investments. I had to triangulate the sizing a little (I’m 5’5”, ~135lbs, usually wear 4 in pants and 6 in dresses, got a 6 Regular) so I’m glad I read the reviews. POSITIVES Color: Lovely! Not too bright but not too muted. Makes me stand out from the other coaches so my skaters can see me from afar. Pockets: The small pocket is great for keys/chapstick, the front pockets fit my phone (in its wallet case!) and bingo dabbers/markers/pens with ease, and the expandable bottoms are perfect for covering the laces of my boots. Sizing: There is enough space for me to wear leggings underneath, but I don’t always need to since the pants are pretty good windbreakers. Material: I can model falling down and getting back up without worrying about getting wet, which is great for teaching Basic 1! The different texture around the knee also makes it easier to get up from the ice. The pants are flexible enough for my frame that I don’t feel like I’m stretching them when moving my legs around. POSSIBLE NEGATIVES (Depending on your intended usage) Button: The button stitching came undone within 3 months of use (wearing the pants 3x a week for a few hours at a time), but I caught it before it dropped so was able to reinforce the stitching no problem. If you think you’ll get a lot of active use out of these pants I’d recommend checking on the stitching regularly. Hip/Waist fit: The pants fall a little low on my waist (most relevant when bending over), and do have belt loops but I don’t like wearing a belt because it restricts my upper body movement. I never feel like they’re coming off, but if you want something that fits closely around the waist/doesn’t have space at the crotch, these might not be for you. Ankle fit: These are a little wide at the bottom, even when the expandable bottoms are zipped up. They fit in wide boots easily, but could get caught behind the heel if you wear low-tops/have shorter legs. Not an issue for me (since I'm using them for skates) but could be depending on the kind of shoes you want to wear with them. Material: I’m not sure how flexible these pants are if they aren’t a little wide on your leg, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend full-blown practicing freestyle in these, but I’ve gotten away with some sit spins and spirals. The material is water resistant but definitely not waterproof. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend for full coverage in heavy wet precipitation. OVERALL Love these. I’m definitely getting my money’s worth and recommending them to anyone else who coaches! ... show more

  • Changed over time
I ordered these in 2021 and still love them! They are very warm, fit over snow boots, very soft, and still look clean and new. I decided to order another because I’m wearing them more often. The second pair, way different. The ankle is much tighter and won’t go over a boot. The fabric is VERY different. It feels cheaper and not near as soft and warm. It fits snugger like a boot cut jean. The 2021 pair was more relaxed fit so the waist stayed put when you moved around. 5 stars for the 2021 version! 2026 version may work for someone but since I had the comparison, I’d give 2 but it may be what someone else wants so I’ll give 3 ... show more

  • Comfortable, functional and durable
Size: 10 Short Color: Grey
I purchased these a couple of years back, and I love them. I had to purchase a bigger size and without any research or hesitation, I went ahead and bought the same brand again. These pants are amazing! They are waterproof, snowproof, windproof, and keep you warm without the bulk. Very comfortable and fit just right. (5'3" 160 lbs, 10 short). Super happy about these. Highly recommend. ... show more
