Im gonna start by saying wow what a tent!!! Every year my family and I meet for a reunion camping trip, This year it decided to rain cats and dogs. When I arrived Friday and set up, it was clear so I decided to spray with a waterproof spray just in case. I had read reviews and thought that would be best option for this tent. It stayed dry the entire weekend inside. Not a leak, no puddling, no wet floor. The front netting area was a lifesaver where we could take off shoes before entry. The tarp I laid down under it saved us from sinking while walking and made clean up easy when packing. Highly recommend a tarp for floor and under the tent. Anyway the tent is easy to set up once you figure out where all the poles go. It could take 2 ppl but I was blessed to have help. Its tall enough to stand up in, im 5' 10 and didnt need to duck much at all. Lots of space and we set up a queen mattress, twin and two camp chairs. With luggage we still had space to walk around. The net kept flying insects away and helped keep the rain down. We set up another camp chair in front to sit while we removed shoes. Buy this tent and you won't regret it Im very happy with this purchase.

I’m obsessed with this tent! My boyfriend and I are avid campers, and we do a lot of travel camping where we are packing up and setting up our campsite quite a bit. We wanted a bigger tent that was still small enough to pack easy, a tent that is better in rain and wind, and a tent that wasn’t a pain to set up- this was the winner!! This was very easy to set up and take down, but I will say if you only have one person I think it would be a little bit harder to put up, but with two people it was easy! We haven’t had down pouring rain since we’ve had this tent, but we have use it in the rain and everything was completely dry and it held up very well and I was never worried about it. It’s done well with decent wind gusts and so far it seems to be pretty sturdy! It’s nice and spacious, we typically air up an air mattress, but if you didn’t use an air mattress, you could very easily fit six people if not more depending on how big they are in this tent. Having the little outdoor component is amazing! It really helps us keep the inside of the tent nice and clean and it’s also nice for shade, keeping the bugs away and just having another little space that’s not zipped up in the tent! Air ventilation is good, if you have the window open, you can get some good airflow, but on the other hand if it’s really cold, it feels like it keeps body heat in the tent pretty well. It was also very easy to fold up and get back in the bag, we’ve had a lot of struggle with folding tents up and making them fit back in their original bag… But this one was not a problem at all! The zippers are nice and smooth so far as well which is great because anyone who camps knows a messed up zipper is so frustrating. We almost got the 8 person tent but we were afraid it would be too big, but I think it would have been great! For the space this tent gives, it doesn’t take as much ground space as I was expecting! All in all I give this tent a 10/10 and we are excited to use this tent more often!

Alright, this is a pretty massive tent. You can definitely set this thing up by yourself and with a 3 yr old "helping", but it will be a bit challenging. Things I like: Power chord opening. Fantastic. If I have to run a chord, I can do so without leaving the tent door open. Side Screen room: Amazing. Being able to put some chairs there and keep the bugs away is a huge plus. Additional places for storage: Awesome. I can put things like sleeping bag pouches, keys, wallets, headlamps, etc away and in a convenient place that won't get lost. Doormat: Very nice touch. Things I wish it would include: A divider for the tent would be nice to section off the tent, but there are other tents with this option. If you get this one, know that you won't have one of those. I wish the side screen area would have a loop that we could hang a lamp or something from. Since the tent has a little doormat for the front, I wish it had one for the other door leading to the tent screen. When you walk in the tent, there is a big window on the left which is great. I wish it had a window/screen for the back of the tent. Just a small thing. The color-coded poles are nice, but the tape is rather on the cheap side. I would definitely get some electrical tape and do a few loops for security. Best to have some good quality tape instead of that tape fading and you are struggling to figure out which heavy duty pole goes where. The thing I can see that could be an issue in a big rainstorm is the tent opening. When the rainfly is over it and you have the fiber pole installed, there is a small area that rain could come in sideways and into your tent. It's not too big, but if the storm is pretty bad, that's an area that could get you and your stuff wet. An easy fix is to put a smaller tarp where that area is, but at this price point, I think this is something that should have been thought about. Overall, it's a great tent and plenty of room for me, my wife, and the two little kids. This is definitely a "forever" tent that will be well-cared for.

The TLDR of my review is: This is a fantastic tent! It’s a great deal for a tent that has a lot of positive features. For the longer version of the review: I just started camping this year. I wanted to buy a tent that 1) was tall enough for me to stand up inside (I’m 5’5”), 2) had a screened porch or vestibule for additional gear storage, and 3) was big enough to fit two people with cots very comfortably. Right off the bat while researching, I found my stipulations eliminated most dome tents. I wasn’t willing to spend $400+ on a tent when I originally wasn’t sure if I would love camping or only go 1-2x per year, so budget came into play as well. I also live and camp in Colorado, so durability against high winds, variable temps, and sudden rainstorms was a must. I bought this tent and have now used it for 5 camping trips this summer. I can safely say that it’s a fantastic budget tent, with some caveats. 1) Durability with weather: 10/10* It has rained heavily, ranging from 20-minute downpours to 3 straight days of rain, in 4 of 5 of my trips. CO storms also have heavy wind gusts, and this has stood up to 40mph gusts with no breakage. I also find the rain fly, while not a full one, covers all the windows and doors and prevents leakage. Now, the * is because I use a tarp for a footprint, add a tarp inside to protect the floor, and have weather proofed the outside with weatherproof spray and seam sealers. I feel like this is a must for all tents though. But I have had zero rain enter the tent, even on the 3-day rain fest session I experienced. (I did cover the tent with another tarp overtop during this trip though, seeing the forecast. But still, no leaks otherwise, either.) You will want to put a tarp in the screened porch area and potential cover the outside of the screened porch with a tarp if heavy rain is expected though, because that part does get wet. 2) Ease of setup and take down: with two people, 8/10. With one person: 0/10 If you’re short like me, this will be a no-go for setup and take down. It’s just too tall and too unwieldy to put up with one person IMO. With two people, even two shorter women (like my friend, who is 5’2”, and me), it is totally doable. There are a lot of guylines - good for weather durability and bad for ease of setup - but I got an impact driver and screw-in tent pegs and that has made the process much faster. It takes my friend and me about 25 minutes to set up and 20 minutes to break down. 3) Extra features: 10/10 I love that this tent has fully screened in doors and windows so there can be plenty of ventilation without letting bugs in. The screens have held up very well (much better than the other higher-name 4p tent I bought that had rips in the seem after one use). My friend and I use full cots and a mini table and still have plenty of space inside. I have the 8-person tent and I could fit 4 people very easily - more if we pack in. The screened porch has been excellent for shoe removal, gear storage, and even cooking space when it was raining nonstop. After 5 trips, I have no unraveled seams. The zippers all work well. There are a couple of gear storage holders too, some built in. And I haven’t gotten soaked during what seems to be a ton of rain. It is VERY heavy, so it’s definitely meant for car camping, not backpacking). It’s super functional and easy to use. A con: it IS big (about 20 ft long once full up). We have had one site that was too small for our site tent pad. For the rest, we made it work. I would absolutely recommend this tent to others, especially if they’re looking for a more budget tent.

Update: I've had this tent for a while now but am updating now that I've had the chance to use it a couple of times. The first time out, the roof was super saggy and I had a heck of a time hoisting it all up (not difficult but took more effort than I later realized was needed). So much of the chilly air kept gusting in because of the huge gap between the mesh roof and the rain fly. Fast forward to having gained lots more experience camping, and I realize this is the kind of tent that definitely needs to be staked down FIRST. As if magically, having all sides staked and secured made setup that much easier! I didn't have to hoist or work to pull the whole shebang up at all! Just inserted the poles easily and víolá. Besides that, having the base properly staked resulted in a nice taught roof just like the product images. What I great reward that was to see lol I enjoyed my trip much better this time having had the tent set up much better than the first time. Yay ^_^ Original Review: I'm so excited to use this tent for the first time! I set it up in my living room which had me climbing on the sofa to do because it's so big lol Easy to set up (if you don't mess up like I did despite the directions and another reviewer's advice). Let me reiterate this one point to save someone else the mistake lol... PAY ATTENTION TO THE POLE COLORS. I honestly thought I'd put the colors in the right way, but in the end, I had the long pole where the short pole (the colored one...mine was blue) was meant to go and spent several minutes struggling to get that part situated. Once it finally dawned on me what I'd done, the rest of the setup was a breeze. I did it solo even though it says it's a 2 person job. I was concerned about the quality of the roof poles as they are fiberglass and seemed a bit thin/fragile. I saw a review where someone's had broken, so I think I had that in mind too. They bent normally though and went up just fine. Even though I am tall, if setting up solo, it might be a good idea to place the rain fly on top before raising it because the top does seem rather high even for me. It packs away nicely (unlike the last horrible tent that I had to return and could barely get back in the carry bag let alone the box)... And is not too heavy at about 20lbs. Very spacious inside. I got a queen size mattress the go in horizontally because there would be just too much empty space with just a twin bed. I also really love the little porch part and hope it will keep bugs away while cooking.

For perspective, I'm going from a high end backpacking tent that still 20yrs later I would use (they don't make 'em like they used to heh). First venture into the I'm older, and I don't want to feel the snake outside slithering near my arm near the tent, let's get a BIG tent. I also have a separate screen room I can set up... so let's get a BIG tent with a SCREEN room all rolled in one! Our poor tent has been set up camping 4 times, over a 2 week usage. Even though the cloth (non mesh) portion of the tent is so high on the walls, we felt it would pull decent summer usage. It withstood the crazy winds and heat of the Keys. It withstood the daily downpours and thunderstorms of WV/NY/NC. It withstood within tolerance a few days of uh oh we forgot the ground tarp. So why only 3 stars? The floor and a few inches up is tarp material. Thin tarp material. The ground tarp we eventually bought is more than twice its thickness. The floor of a tent shouldn't be so easily outdone in by a CHEAP tarp bought at Wallyworld. At the fourth set up, thanks to all the rain, I was inspecting the tent and noticed that the floor corners of the tarp material was fraying somewhat and starting to leak a little bit of rainwater in. Yes it says water resistant. But fraying? Hard pass. The rest of the tent - Absolutely zero issues with the zippers. The mesh on the screen room and the windows/doors - totally acceptable in quality. No insects, lets a nice breeze in. One small spot on the back window mesh looks compromised, but I will be honest - we camped in sites with trees letting off acorns and small limbs, etc (esp with all the storms) - this could be the culprit. You can't have breath-ability and no bugs without a fine thin mesh. I will patch that sucker if needed, I react to no see ums and mosquito bites unbelievably. Very happy with the mesh. I think as far as to a typical summer use with thunderstorms, I can say it held up in permeability as expected and actually better. Water resistant claims are not the same as waterproof (which this tent does not claim). This tent experienced some horrendous torrential downpours. For hours at a time. That we didn't expect. It wasn't until the last couple of days (so let's say 10 torrential downpour days if I were to guess, out of 14 days use) that we began to have roof leakage. It was consistent (more than once), very minor and in the middle of the tnet seam area where the poles fit through. Rain fly used for entire time. I will be doing some seam sealing and seeing if that rectifies the situation. It wasn't so much as 'oh my I'm going to get wet sleeping' as oh look at that water on the inside roof of the tent'. Summation - Pros: Exceeded expectations on water resistance. Screening keeps out the critters and lets in the breeze. Lots and lots of room. More pockets inside than I have need for. What? I can stand up inside? No snakes near my arm? Happy sigh. Cons: Fraying in the floor tarp material at 2 corners after 4 set ups - unacceptable. Main door zipper has water deflection flaps that bend away over time and render it useless. Tip - use the screen room door to enter/exit - you won't have critters in main tent, and your main door deflection flaps won't get compromised. Wish there was a screened window across from said main door to let in crossbreeze. Tent gets frumpy after a few days. Yes we staked it well. Not our first camping rodeo.

Love love love this tent, I got the largest size and it stormed heavily while i was out last year with it. It did NOT leak. It fit a queen size air mattress, blow up couch, and a small, long fold out table we used as a coffee table lol. However we had to basically block off a side door. We were able to stand normally in it which was a huge plus! Value for the money, top notch. Weight, bit on the heavy side. East to set up, great design. Also please note in the second pic the table was pulled forward lol. We pushed it against the wall after and there was a quite a bit more clearance. I would not say it fits that many people. I really dont get how these tent companies get their sizing.

This tent impressed me right away. The gorgeous sky views, the feeling of comfort from being able to stand and stretch at 5’7” tall while still making you feel like you were outdoors and not boxed in. It handled heavy rain, wind, and storms extremely well and kept everything inside dry. The layout is one of the best parts—the mesh porch and overall design make it feel open, functional, and easy to live in for extended periods. However, the zipper has become a major failure point. After a couple of months of regular use, the main vertical entry zipper on the mesh porch began separating and now no longer stays closed. At this point, it takes multiple attempts to get it to zip, and even then it will split open again. Because this is the primary, most convenient entry point, this significantly affects usability. A tent can have a great design and strong materials, but if the zipper fails, it compromises the entire function of the tent. Pros: * Excellent weather resistance * Spacious, well-thought-out design * Comfortable for extended use Cons: * Main zipper failed after a relatively short period * Separation issue makes it unreliable to open/close * Impacts overall usability in a big way Overall, I’m extremely disappointed as this tent has a lot going for it, but the zipper durability needs serious improvement. Maybe get the extended warranty just to be safe but then again who really wants a product that you have to worry will fail?!
