I ordered this assuming I'd need to return it. Not the case. I love the product and it was simple to install. It works just as advertised. My only complaint is the auto day/night screen does not work. I have it selected on the device and in my Android auto settings, but it will not automatically change. So purchased this the beginning of January and it’s already going out. Doesn’t turn on half the time. Tried replacing the power cord and still won’t work. Going to attempt to contact the seller but doubt will get much help. Will update once I do! My husband has an older truck that doesn’t have CarPlay in it. Didn’t even have Bluetooth either 😬. He had been researching these little CarPlay hook ups for awhile. I bit the bullet and purchased it for him as a surprise. It was honestly a great idea! He loves it, at first we had a smidge of an issue with the aux cord not connecting well enough but then he connected it through the radio and it worked perfect! He connects his Spotify, takes phone calls and for the hunters out there his OnX app even works through it! If you’re on the fence just get it. I promise you won’t be disappointed 😊 ... show more

UPDATE: Customer service reached out after my review below offering a full refund. This may not be the product for me, but you can at least buy with confidence that they will stand behind the product. Not a big reviewer, but felt lead to do one for this product. I’ll keep it simple. These impressions are via 10-15 minute commutes, so keep that in mind. PROS: - Nice screen - Touch worked very well - simple interface - sound quality was great via Bluetooth - auto connect was great (when it worked) CONS: - auto connect worked maybe 25% of the time. Had to redo the pairing process EACH time. - screen froze one average 1-2 times a day (during about 30 minutes of driving). Had to switch back to main menu and back into CarPlay. - Bluetooth connectivity in general is unreliable. On average the unit would lose connection 2-3 times a day while driving but usually auto-connected back. The final straw was this mornings drive to work. Never could get the unit to engage CarPlay. Phone was connected, contacts synced…nothing. Things I tried: - toggled Bluetooth - repaired 5-6 times - factory reset - unplugged unit and plugged back. Bottom line. It’s cheap. When it worked it was pretty cool. I’m planning on returning and going for a Carpuride product. ... show more

It confuses connected devices....if I make a call from phone or the screen, the audio plays through car....if I answer on screen, audio is through phone. The mount is weak, scream isn't firm in position, lil shaky.

This is worth the buy. Good value for the money. There were two things I was concerned about: can you customize the boot screen (yes you can) and will it be responsive (it is). The screen is nice for the price. It’s responsive and get the job done. I was worried that it would be sluggish but it responds to touch the way you would expect. One thing that isn’t mentioned anywhere is that you can customize the boot screen. To do this drop a file called boot_logo.jpeg (it may be .jpg or .png - to be honest I had the same file with three file names to figure it out) on the SD card (not included). Boot it uo and after it starts it will say boot screen updated. Restart it and then you are good. At that tjme you can remove the SD card and the logo will stay. Also the rear camera cable was long enough for my truck with an 8 ft bed. It’s probably long enough to do it twice. So you will have plenty of length. I would absolutely buy this again but there are a few things to note: No front camera. I didn’t want one so saved a few $ and bought this. The USB cable is angled, but you can’t put it in the one way if you have the camera connected so you need to flip it around. Still works and looks fine, but it’s strange to have that cable going up and the rest going down. It’s worth the buy, especially if you buy it on sale. Enjoy! Pro tip: You’ll likely encounter static if using the aux. You can’t hear it with the music on, but it’s annoying during the silence. Search for “ground loop isolator” - it’s a $10 part the completely solved this for me. ... show more
