It fits a pretty specific purpose, but it does that purpose very well if not excellently. For a single home stick welder to fix simple things around a property it's pretty cool once you get a feel for it. Stores in a power drill like box that holds everything needed for small fixes, and plugs into household 120V AC outlets. Manual was almost illegible and gets a half star docked - a brand new welder may wish to consult the internet on how to operate one of these. The included flat panel mask and wire brush are a nice inclusion for someone who wants this to weld a gate latch back, or fix a chair bolt - once every year or two. For anyone else who plans to do more than a few jobs a year with it probably wants a real mask and accessories or has them already anyway. It put very decent beads down on the 3/8" bolt plates I fixed with it. It hit a little hot on the first trigger squeeze,so I dialed it back 5-10, and The trigger operation made me smirk because it's surprisingly effective over always on contact. Backing off with the trigger instead of physical motion was interesting. For the value, and the build quality, it's almost a 5 star product. The manual and general specific purpose only for light household duty keep the last star off for me but I can still recommend it overall.

This is built with great material the size is awesome fits in my hands very good it’s easy to use and comes with a case and with a diy welding helmet it’s jus all in one the best smaller welder I’ve ever seen or had its prices at a great price

I should have known better. I saw this listed and was like "no way, portable?" Should have listened to myself. It is not portable. I wouldn't of ordered it if I knew it wasn't portable. I already have an arc welder dont need a second less powerful one! I was thinking to use this on small quick easy fixes. Without the need to run an extension cord or lug out the welder I have. I will still give it a try on the next small fix I need to do. Perhap it will prove it's self. I have not used it yet. I wanted to get a review posted so others dont purchase it for the same reason I did, thinking it was portable. IT IS NOT PORTABLE It comes with gloves that will not offer any protection against slag, so I will use my leather welding gloves if I ever use it. The mask is flimsy but kinda cute. I will be leary in it's first use because anyone that thinks the the gloves are good for welding might also have worked on building or designing this welder. Hopefully it doesn't fry and catch fire and melt. I'm giving it 2 stars and not 1 because it seems like they are at least trying to put out a good product and it does come with everything you need to get started(gloves offer almost zero protection however). And if it actually works, then IMO it will deserve the 2star. Anyway, heads up! Edit, gave it another star, it actually works. I used it to weld two little steel rods together. And truthfully it was faster that setting up by bigger welder. I already had my thick extension cord ran out to what I was working on for a battery charger. So I walked to the shop grabbed this little welder. Plugged it in and poof I was done. Would of been a chore to get the full sized welder out. So it will have s9me uses. They should re title it to more portable then other welders or something.

The media could not be loaded. I got this to do a few small welding projects I had around the house, repairing a fence post and RV. Sadly this will not work. THe fan turns on, but the indicator light will not illuminate and it does not weld. I can hear the motor sound change when the weld button is pushed, but nothing. The instructions that came with, although in many languages they are not very thorough, clear or well written. The size and value are perfect for what I wanted and it's light. I just wish it had worked.
