The LEDs are perfectly fine so far although I have only been testing to see if they work. While the resistors are a nice bonus and not what I ordered this for, the tolerances are off. Going by the markings these are 1% tolerance (brown band), but the 430ohm resistors were reading closer to 400ohm. Looking closely at the tolerance marking shows a bit of silver paint on some of them leading me to believe these were manufactured as 10% tolerance (silver band) and repainted to appear as 1% tolerance. Not the end of the world if using for LEDs in low power applications, but if storing with other 1% tolerance resistors maybe keep these separate. The 470ohm reads closer to 440ohm for me so be sure to verify resistances and do calculations. Overall I am happy with the LEDs but a bit disappointed the resistors are misrepresented. ... show more

Used the product to repair a sight illuminator for a hunting bow. Voltage drop across the junction is 2.8v. Illuminator uses 2 LR44, 1.5v batteries to power the LED.

These RGB LEDs come with a set of 430-ohm, 1% and 470-ohm, 1% resistors to match the different voltage/current requirements of the red, green and blue colors. Very nice LEDs.

Running these with the provided 470 ohm resistor causes the resistor to heat up quite a bit, so I am running them at 5v. Three in a cluster (two yellow, one red) draws about 14 mA I chose a mixture of colors rather than a single LED to make things seem more like a larger candle, but they work equally well with just one. ... show more

I got these hoping for some cool black light effects. They are fine LEDs, I just did not pay close attention when I got them. If you are looking for a more “ghostly white purple” these are for you. They do activate fluorescents, and glow in the dark pigments, but not as well as would be hoped. Because they are closer to invisible light (UV), they do not impress much when on, (at 2.85 volts). The reality is, they are working, but you can’t see them well. I have been driving some at 4volts DC, (without the resistor) and they are a bit more impressive. I may be overdriving them, and it may shorten their lifespan, but they seem to be doing okay, and I am really not happy I got these. The leds in the skull photo are on a DC power supply, metered at 2.85 volts. I hope that helps any fellow Halloweeners! ... show more

Using 5v input and the included resistor. Would like to see a little more brightness but it's decent. Gives a nice variable glow like fire. Bought red and yellow to mix together.

Resister tolerance is 2%, not 1% as advertised. Resistor leads are very thin and don't work well in a breadboard without bending them in half. The colors do not blend very well. Blue is overpowering when on. Holding my hand above the LED I can see 3 distinct circles and the only place the colors blend even a little is at the edge of these circles. If you're looking for true RGB LEDs, these aren't it. And now the good. They are super bright. I have spots in front of my eyes from testing one. The provided resistors are for a 12V circuit and they work pretty well even down to 3.5V. They'll definitely be useful for something, just not the project I had in mind. And at about 9 cents apiece including 3 resistors with each one I'm not complaining about the price. ... show more

I remember buying 2 uv LED for $5 @ radioshack when they still existed around here, so you aren't going to get a complaint from me about these, but i digress. didn't count them cuz there was a freaking lot of them, didn't doubt it was 100 pc, but even if it were 20 short still not complaining, i was just trying to get a couple for a couple buck anyway. -the leads really are longer, i was slightly impressed to see truth to that (mind you they are thinner than some, not complaining) -they are actually UV, made a pack of highlighter look like some wild glowsticks -100resistors?!?! i was going to buy the LEDs any way, but this got me to buy from them as opposed to other sellers -packed well enough for LEDs, anti-stack pouches, labeled 3.3v UV and .25 watt, 430ohm respectively (otherwise i'll throw them in a bead bag from the crafts aisle, forget what they are and have to test them or look them up) thoroughly satisfied with this purchase, don't think i'll need more for a long time, but i'll happily order another color from this seller ... show more
