Finally got to hooking this up and I can somewhat confirm what some of the other critical reviews have said about it not getting overly hot. That said, it's still noticeably warmer than the water straight from the hose. I think a big part of the experience depends on the water source. If this is being connected to a water tank in an RV/camper then that water is likely already considerably warmer and so this tankless heater should be able to get that water comfortably warm for use in a shower. However, if the water is coming from a hose connected to underground plumbing, that water will start much cooler and so this heater won't have the ability to heat that water as thoroughly before it moves through to the sprayer, and consequently the water won't be as likely to feel like a comfortable temperature for showering. But it's all relative and subjective. On a hot summer day, slightly warmed up water might feel like the perfect temperature for an outdoor shower, and that's the time I anticipate making use of this since I plan to use it camping. But it's also useful to me as an emergency back-up option if need-be. The pressure isn't amazing but it's good enough for rinsing and washing and overall I had no issues with getting the heater hung, hooked up, and functioning. Really, the main reason I'm only giving this 4-stars is because it's pricey as it was listed for $129.99 when I ordered it and given that it only heats up the water a bit I think that is a high asking price. I'd like to see it more like $99.99 and then I think the cost-to-performance comparison would be pretty favorable.

This heater is a piece of junk. First, there isn't a cold water hookup. They give you a quick disconnect plug in nipple for it, but no water hose to plug into it that nipple. So I had to go buy a converter to convert from the brass threads on it to a garden hose. Most other thankless heaters like this have a garden hose fitting on the cold water input. Second, it doesn't heat the water! With the water flow almost off, it just gets luke warm at best. With water flow at a usable rate the temperature only gets to the high 80s to low 90s. You cold never take a shower with this thing, it isn't even hot enough to wash your hands. If you turn the water up to get usable flow, it gets stone cold. I'm so tired of paying good money for this foreign made junk that doesn't work!

It gets hot very quickly, just a few seconds and you're ready to go. It works well and has great pressure. especially for how cheap it is. I actually set this up in my backyard to rinse off when we get out of the pool and it's been perfect for that. I debated mounting it permanently in the small outdoor shower I built but with the amount of plastic I don't think it would be able to withstand all the UV exposure.

Complete garbage. Doesn't heat up last room temp. I know how to use these. It turns on and barely even heats anything. Even when it's turned up all the way! My piss is warmer than this. This is a room temperature water heater, not a hot water heater.

The media could not be loaded. This tankless water heater can produce some very hot water almost instantly. It comes with most of what is needed to get it running. It's lightweight and has a handle to carry it. My one concern about quality is with the plastic knobs. The one for switching from summer to winter already got a crack in the part that holds it onto the metal stem that it controls, just from using it a couple of times. I think that stem was a bit sticky the first time I tried it and just required a bit more force to move than intended, which caused the crack. That doesn't make me confident of the plastics used in those knobs for holding up over time. For those who, like me, are trying to use this portably for camping, the unit has to have water running through it in order for it to start heating. This is not really a problem because the water heats up so fast that you aren't going to need to waste much before you are ready to shower. I would definitely recommend a different shower head, one with an open-close function will really help you save water and propane at camp. I found that the summer setting is more than enough heat for a comfortable shower with the right shower head installed. I'm thinking the first real camping trip I take with this I will get the heat dialed in just right and leave it, or at least put a mark on the face so that it's easier to get right without using up too much water.
