Haven't finished installing yet -but plugged in Mr Roku for an out of the box test -and was amazed at the clarity of the picture at about 120" ( which was my test ...it's not 4 k -but does deliver 1920x 1080 full hd -and I'd have to be very picky to complain that this isn't in 4 K cuz the picture is amazing !!!)if u plug in a 4K device it will accept it but it will downscale it to a 1080p resolution ... Colors are bright and sharp ... I'm amazed at how small this is compared to my old hanging from the ceiling projector !!...it boggles the mind -but it's real !

I must say I had never heard of this projector brand before. I couldn't make up my mind whether it was just another generic brand from overseas dressed up and priced to seem premium, but my curiosity got the better of me so I ordered anyway. The packaging does look reasonably elevated though it's not the most premium unboxing experience compared to the likes of XGIMI or AWOL. The price tag is pretty expensive when you consider what specs you get here. The form factor is very unusual and likely will divide people. I can't help but question who this has been created for. The design is very childlike but endearing I guess. I do like that the legs can be posed and set to angle the image. Aside for the projector unit you get an HDMI cable and charger inside the box and that's pretty much it apart from some literature. Powering this on is very easy and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the image starts up. One of the downsides is that this doesn't have an operating system per say, no Android or Google TV. The first thing you see on the projected image is the request to connect the projector to an HDMI source, such as a Fire Stick or dongle. I used my spare fire stick. There is no remote included so the assumption is that whatever you connect to this will also have a remote that will control that aspect. There is a side switch to help with manual navigation. On the plus side, the image is very pleasant despite only being a basic 720p native resolution. Some text isn't so easy to read but the actual image quality is very good and I don't find myself missing 1080p. It absolutely will not compare to a 4K image but for 720p, it's surprisingly vivid and sharp. It has 5 lasers which I assume is the reason for the great color reproduction. There is no fan! Literally this thing runs silently. There is a corrugated type of aluminum panel on the top of the device which I assume helps to keep temperature down. I love how quiet it is. The image can also expand to a total of 160 inches which is impressive. I have not tried that distance but I would expect the image quality to take a hit at that size. I am projecting on a 100 inch wall mounted screen and it looks good, better at night with the lights off as the brightness is definitely a weak spot. Having a built in battery, especially when you consider the size of this thing is very impressive. It boasts 4 hours of playback without being connected to power. I have only watched a 45 minute tv show so cannot say exactly how accurate that time is but having a battery in this is a real design wonder. I think this is a great travel companion for entertainment as it's so small and easy to use. Lastly, there is no speaker on board so again you are dependent on whatever you connect this to, to drive audio, be it to a bluetooth speaker or similar. That's definitely something to consider. I think this is overpriced. Sub $300 and I think it would be a compelling buy but at over $600 there are greater offerings on the market. If it had Google TV onboard and 1080p resolution then I think the price could be justified but not as it currently stands. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, and even though this is impressively tiny and portable and has a battery inside i'm not 100% convinced on the value.

Let’s start with the good first. The size, weight, vivid colors, brightness and SILENCE of this projector are pretty amazing. I have several smaller travel and full-size projectors to compare this to and having no fan is a completely new concept using a projector. The color reproduction is very bright, vivid and pops much more than my more traditional lamp-based travel projector. This also gets bright enough to project a very large image in a dark room, but more on that later. The not so good is the native resolution. This runs at a native 720p. That is roughly 44% of the pixels in a standard 1080p image and roughly 11% of a 4k image. I found using this with both a Fire streaming device and computer it was very hard to read smaller text. In particular on the Fire device the interface was overall somewhat to very blurry depending on what I was looking at. I could navigate, but it wasn’t great. For comparison my 8-year-old 1080p lamp-based travel projector is much crisper and clearer when it comes to text. That being said, going back to the size this can project, you definitely could project at 100 inches and it would have enough brightness to do so, but you are still only projecting a 720p image. It will not be great looking at that size. A few other quirks. The legs are a novel idea, but the placement of the HDMI and USB-C inputs at the back will bump into the surface it is standing on if wanting to project at a high angle, such as on a ceiling or wall of a tent. (see screenshots). A left or right-angled HDMI and USB-C converter might be needed to allow for high angle projecting. There is also no standard mounting hole to allow putting this on a tripod or other mounting device. I feel if this had one it would very much enhance its ability to be placed in interesting locations. I tried using this projector with several laptops. One had a native HDMI port and worked perfectly. No issues connecting and I was able to bump up the scaling to make text more readable. The other laptop had USB-C ports and under no circumstance could I get the projector to display the output. My laptop could see the projector connected, but not matter the resolution or refresh rate it would not display an image. The project did see the input and the HDMI led was lit up. So, I’m not sure what’s up with that. So, who is this projector for? I found myself asking this question again and again as I tested this projector. Its cost puts it in the premium to ultra-premium range of travel projectors, but the resolution puts it back nearly a decade. The multi-laser technology is very slick. The color and brightness from this are almost shocking for its size and again with no fan it is completely silent. (can’t stress how big of an advantage that is) The target audience I think is someone who wants to watch content literally anywhere. This is not for projecting spreadsheets or documents to others as the resolution will not allow for that, but for content consumption, in my humble opinion I think that is the target demographic. It does a very decent job and has a very unique form factor. If the price isn’t an issue, I think the tech is very cool and I hope at some point a 1080p or 4k variant will come about. I’d snag that up in an instant!
